Allow actions on searched items
If you do a search you have very limited group actions on the results unlike u searched items. There is no press and hold for multi select, no swipe actions either. I would like to search by say sender and then action, move folder delete etc.
Swiping left/right through the emails as well would be helpful.

Please create a option to delete the accumulated contacts from the search field at the bottom of the app. It’s stupid that there is no way to get rid of these contacts.
Why can’t I perform all the usual email actions in the search area that I can from Inbox. Like Print?

When I search for emails from a contact or by keyword and results are displayed, there is no option / function to delete all the emails in one go.
There does not seem to be any button to select all and then delete them.
Kindly provide this feature as it is very time consuming to delete the emails one by one.
I just noticed that others have requested this feature in 2015 but nothing has been done. Not surprised that Microsoft does not care about the users!

Rather then making the user leave the inbox page to search, had your design team ever considered simply dragging the inbox screen down up to activate the search field.
The majority of apple iphone windows function like this and it is for good reason.
Having to leave the inbox to then have to place your cursor in the search field is cumbersome. It would be so much more efficient.
When searching my mailbox for a keyword i am unable to select multiple emails and delete, i am forced to do one by one. Basic feature so why is this missing?
Have seen multiple posts stating you can long press and delete email as well as swipe left... this only works from the inbox. Does not work when scanning through search results unless you open the email and select the trash can. Can you please add this feature?

After your search for a message, you should be able to delete or move messages as you do in the inbox.
The search functionality is good, you can find what you want, you can filter by attachments, but you cannot manage the messages.
So, please, add the possibility of managing messages in the search filter. That’s the feature I miss right now. And since I received lots of emails I need to leave Outlook access my Apple mail application and search and delete it from there and I cannot disable my Apple email because of the lack of this feature.
Thank you and congratulations for the great product
It would make sense that when you search for a bunch of items that you can select them and then move them to the desired folder. Currently this has to be performed by opening items from search results and moving on an individual basis.

When searching for emails it would be great if the list of search results was as editable as the list of emails in the inbox (e.g. select multiple by long pressing the colour chips, marking as read/unread, deleting etc).
I would love to have the option to delete information in “mail, events, contacts, files” in search bar.
I would like this to show contacts, but not emails that I used recently.
Need to be able to delete email from the search results screen.
In many cases, some action is required on items returned in search results.
Often swipe options would be enough but swipe is not enabled on search results screen.
A long press triggered contextual action list would also be helpful when swipe options are not sufficient.

Within Search results, users SHOULD be able to:
a) Group search results into Mail, Events, and People records
b) While viewing search results, swipe left or right for record options, as is possible when viewing records in Inbox
c) Select multiple records and Delete, Mark As Read, Mark As Unread, etc.
d) Sort results by date, sender, etc.
Make it easier to clear the history from all former searches and emails that appear.
Somehow if it could be possible to right click in the history and it would open a small setting, so u could clear.
I really would love to be able to do that. I have an email stuck in the history search, and I can’t get rid of it.
Even tho I cleared the history, still emails appear, and the funny thing is, I have no contacts in my mail. It’s just annoying me tbh.
There should be a way to deal with this.
There should be a way to delete multiple emails in one go after we search for a word or sender and then select all or some of those of those emails and deleting or moving them to a folder.
Also I haven’t seen a way to setup a rule to forward all emails from a sender and or containing a word or a phrase and automatically moving into a folder.
We should be able to select mails under Search section after we did our search. And some other improvements I seek in the app.
-Able to mass delete of a specific sender’s mails
-Able to block a sender

Like in the main inbox views, it would be nice to be able to utilize the swipe left/right options when viewing search results.
Currently I can search across my mailboxes and/or folders for emails with keywords/sender criteria. Once search results are displayed, I can only scroll through or view individual emails. I’d like a functionality to select few or all emails on Search screen and then delete/move/flag/archive options. We have such functionality now on normal view but not on Search view.
Currently, emails that appear in the search results cannot be bulk selected to be moved. This feature is available on the PC and would be useful to have in the app as well.
In addition, when searching for a folder name to move selected email messages, it would be useful if the parent folder appears in the suggestion list so the email messages can be accurately moved to the correct folder. For example if there are three folders labeled “August”, the app suggests “August” three times in the suggestion list. Instead it would be more useful if the suggestion list shows “EOM Report/August”, “Inspections/August”, and “Audits/August”.

Ability to Search and then perform “group” functions (delete, send to folder, etc) as you can from the home screen.
