Hello great workers at outlook app.
Since the last update to the wonderful app, my app language changed to the same as my iPhone settings.
Please add feature of changing the language to what ever I want regardless the iPhone setting
I like my iPhone to be Hebrew because my contacts are in Hebrew
But I would like to keep other apps in English
Looking forward to a update by your respected working people
Thank you and have a great one
Change language feature

I have selected my default language and yet I continue to see emails composed in another language. They ARE NOT welcomed. I should have the option to filter them out or send them to spam. Case in point...my Netflix payment receipt comes Outlook. But my Netflix ACCOUNT is managed under a different email address. Yet I regularly receive "Netflix" emails in a different language in Outlook which is obviously spam. I cannot filter ONLY the spammed "Netflix" emails. My attempts at doing so would cause me to lose the legitimate Netflix payment receipt emails also. Its tedious and quite unnecessary given the age of Outlook and the tools in your arsenal. Please fix it!!
This is a very significant flaw in the current Software that would keep me from buying an iPhone again
I found there is a gap between outlook app on iPhone and on iPad. On iPhone, I can set the language for the app, though not from Outlook setting itself, I can change it via the iPhone setting. But on an iPad, there is not such option. I’m not sure if the feature is offered by the Outlook app or iOS, but could we support change on iPad app? Or at least allow user to select whether follow the device language setting or the mailbox language setting.
So my job needs me to write a lot of emails in both Dutch (my native language) and in English.
I would say the balance is 60% English and 40% Dutch.
I do like the autocorrect/word suggestion feature, but it set to English and it goes nuts when I write in Dutch. It would be nice to have 2 main languages so that my entire email doesn’t go red with ‘wrong words’ when writing in Dutch (since I prefer English to be the default language).
Businesses aren’t any longer working in a single language. Please support suggesting time slots within an email in a different language than the systems/apps defaults.
While having a german locale, i want to be able to share meeting slots from the calendar in e.g. english.
As of now those slots appear in MEZ rather CET and complementing text appears in german too.
Hi, yes I would need to choose the language for outlook instead of taking the device settings by default. Device is personal thing and can have personal language. Why should we mix this while sending emails on professional contacts? Outlook is showing the same language in reply/fwd content(who, when tags). Please correct this feature soon as it was not the case earlier.
Currently, Outlook for iOS uses the system language (e.g. English or Hindi), and the same is used for determining how replies are sent (e.g. the original email’s From, Subject and date fields maybe displayed in the system language, e.g. विषय).
However, there are times I want Outlook to use English even if my system language is Hindi, because the recipients usually only understand English.
Hence, having a setting that lets me choose Outlook language independent of the iOS language will be very helpful.

Hi, my language change from English to Spanish. How to change it back? Pls. Advise.
There is a language translation feature for outlook web which is very useful for foreign language emails (eg chinese/Japanese). Any chance for this feature to be included in the iOS version too?
My language has changed from English to Catalan and there’s no way to change it in the app? Please add a way to change it back.

I use multiple languages in most of my correspondence and I have found no way to switch dictionaries. Both Outlook and Word seem to only work in the “installed” language.

Possibility to change the app language for users not using iPhone set to English language - better Siri functions as well with this
The translator add-in only works for messages sent to @outlook.com addresses. I have taken out an office subscription partly for this translation feature, but my main email addresses are not @outlook.com, and I’m not going to switch emails. Please extend the translation ability to all email accounts linked to the outlook account. At the moment there doesn’t seem to be a good option for this, but I’ll switch if I can find one.
Enable outlook to have a different language than iPhone general settings
