Labels vs folders
Be able to label an email (e.g., school, money) with the custom labels you have set up in Gmail rather than simply moving the files to those folders.
The labels in Gmail, while folder, can also just be used as labels in a unified inbox. It's one of my favorite features. Without it, I just simple can't use outlook.
Also, would be nice if we could have the colors from the labels / folders from Gmail transfer. They are a nice quick guide to what am email is.

I use Outlook across Mac and windows machines. I noticed that rules I've set to apply labels don't work cross platform. I've also noticed that the labels don't show up at all in the mobile app. It would be great to have that functionality.

If I wanted to save an email under a person or company there is no specific spot to put that. It just goes to archives. Archives need to be itemized or organized.

In the Web version of Outlook you can tag an email with one or more labels. I wish you could add and remove labels via the iOS app as well.

After reading an email with important information, it’s you create a folder (eg. family, events, etc.) and move the email there so that specifically c information can be concentrated and easy to find.

One of the best features in Gmail is the fat that within the Inbox, you can label mail. Then when you click on the label it takes your to a folder to see more mail with that label. Unlike folders in Outlook where it can either be in a folder or in the inbox.

I cannot use outlook because of its lack of simplicity that gmail has. In gmail, I drag the folder I want linked with the mail and any replies are automatically linked to that folder and colour. my inbox was a joy in gmail, since work changed to outlook, my job has become more stressful because i have to spend more time looking at what email is linked to what project.

I would like to raise new function-add request on Outlook mobile apps. I use labeling much and if I could set one-click labeling via my mobile app, that would be really helpful.

As is now in beta Outlook Online, and has been long in GMail for example. A more convenient way to organise conversations.

Inbox by gmail (sadly its going away) has this wonderful / amazing / superb way to create. custom bundles of emails.
It allows users, for example to create a bundle of 'finance' emails (statement, billing alerts etc.) and customize when that bundle of emails show up on the main page (as they arrive OR at a pre specified date time etc) allowing the users to not be distracted by emails alerts all the time.
I (and tens of millions of others) have been a HUGE FAN of bundles in Inbox by gmail and it makes managing emails soo efficient but ever since Google announced the decision to retire Inbox by gmail, 2 days back, (foolish decision based on the disappointment in news and social media... If you dont believe me.. see for yourself), I am hoping MSFT jumps at this opportunity to incorporate this amazing feature in Outlook for outlook.com accounts.
It will help users be SOO MUCH more efficient.

No easy way to add folders or labels. Settings is incomplete lots of features locked away with no mods allowed by the user. Not as intuitive as the others. 4th on my list of mail clients wouldn’t use it if I didn’t have to for work.

I have certain label categories that I made on the desktop-app to help me organize my emails and I noticed that I cannot use those labels in the app. Please consider adding this feature because it would extremely helpful to be able to label emails on my phone as they come in instead of having to wait until I’m on my computer to do so. Thanks!

I want to be able to input parent emails in a group, but put the name of their child as the display so that it’s easier for me to locate a child’s parent vs. trying to memorize their email.
