Faster date/time picker for calendar appts
The biggest bottleneck in the workflow of setting up a new calendar item is adjusting the start or end time (when needed).
This is because the traditional scroll wheel approach is terribly inefficient and is really unnecessary for most outlook users.
How often do we set a meeting to start at 10:19 or 2:23?
It would be soooo much faster to either 1) have the scroll wheel only display 15 min increments so it doesn't take so long to get from 10:15 to 10:45 or 2) have more of an increment/decrement button that would adjust the time by +15 min and another for -15 min (see app called Due - they implement this really well).
Hope you like the idea!

When creating a new appointment, allow for a buffer time selection before/after appointment for preparation or travel. Example: meeting is at 1 pm, so appointment is created for that time. But because it takes 30 minutes to get to/from meeting, allow for buffers to be created to prevent other meetings from being created during that transition time.
With the world shifting to a virtual office environment virtual back to back meetings have become the normal. Our company is encouraging meetings to be kept to 45mins or 25mins to allow for a break in between. Currently to do this is in outlook is not efficient. Productivity would improve if outlook users had the ability to set a default meeting length in settings.
I find it hard to glance at the calendar with meetings and instantly see if a meeting starts on the hour or on the half hour - especially in dark mode (iOS). I’ve sometimes come 1/2 hour late or early to meeting because the interface with the hour of the day doesn’t demarcate a difference in those times.

Why not provide the end user with the flexibility to decide what works best for them? 15 minute increments on the quarter hour is not adequate. I know attorneys that bill in 3 minute increments, how do they deal with the quarter hour increments that you decide is adequate. I want to control my time range, not some programmer. Please fix this to make it more workable for the end user. Thank you.
Please allow a precise time to be entered for calendar entries (with 1 minute resolution) with an additional input option (a numeric keypad would suffice.) This is necessary for travel etc.

15 minute increments are not granular enough. 5 minute increments are needed.
Nearly every Dr or dental apt I make starts and or ends on a 5min boundary and with 15 minute resolution I am unable to create my Apts accurately.
I also run into this issue when entering my class schedules. Those almost never start/stop on 15 min boundaries.

I can only schedule on the half hour, but have apts at various 5 min slots.

It would be nice to be able to choose a specific time for calendar events rather than the quarter hour options available.

Please make the time on the calendar reflect every minute of each hour as opposed to every 5 mins. I need this for trains and planes — some of which leave at 4:38, for example —and I can’t currently add these odd times to my calendar. Please fix this.

Can you please allow users to set exact times for their calendar appointments and get rid of the 5 minute intervals?
Planes and trains don’t depart in 5 minute intervals, so why shouldn’t the users be able to add precise times into their diaries using the Outlook app?
It would be nice if the times to have emails scheduled to reappear could be more flexible for our schedules. For example my day starts at 7 a.m. and sometimes I would like an email to appear when I get to work at that time. The only option I see though for the next morning is for 8 a.m. Of course I can do the pick a time option but would be nice if I could just create my own default times

It is rather irritating that the time in the calender in the IoS and android versions of the outlook calender, can only be set with 15 min.s intervals. I will highly appreciate if time can be set in minutes intervals. Example. I have an appointment at 09:20 h. The calender can only be set at 09:15 or 09:30. Not very user friendly.
Have a nice day.

I sometimes have appointments (e.g. train times) for which the 5 min time increments don't work, so I need to use a different phone or the web interface to schedule them.

The calendar is hard to read. Outlook for windows and other calendars graphically show you a day with appointments as blocks of time within that day.
This cal show the start time and duration, so I have to figure out when the appt ends if I want to add a new appt. I simple want to click on the free space and drag to create a new appt. also want to understand my blocks of time at a glance, not to have to scrutinize everything to find a 30min block.
Honestly, why is this not implemented??
I want to edit time by keys.

At the moment, you can only do quarterly increments on the app calendar: let us tap in and do custom or at least 5 minute increments
The parsing of dates in emails is terrible - why can't you intelligently spot the date AND time in text and gave a link to create that event in your calendar? It currently seems to just pickup on times.
I’d really like to have the option to choose, for example, 10:37 am for a start time.
I work at a school and the classes are at odd times. Other people may like a 15 minute increment default. Depends on your needs.

It would be great to be able to change the calendar default to 30 or 90 minute meetings
