Delete auto fill addresses
Hi, I'd like to be able to delete autofill addresses. For example, I accidentally used an old address for my wife. The address is no longer valid but it appears at the top of my autofill list thereby inviting errors by my clumsy fingers.
With the latest Outlook iOS app you can now delete an auto-complete email address suggestion from that list that pops up as you type an email address. Within the suggestion list, swiping right on an individual suggested email in the list and Tap the Delete icon.
Not sure exactly which version of Outlook iOS/iPadOS this appeared, though I think it has been in the last month or so (can't find any Microsoft Roadmap item for this Outlook mobile feature either).
The feature has yet to be available within Outlook mobile for Android (at the time of posting this).
Crazy that it is not possible to delete old/wrong email addresses that do not have an X on the autofil. From what I can tell this is an outstanding issue which Outlook has failed to solve!
Here is a workaround:
Sign on to office 365 on a desktop pc.
Start writing a new email and start typing the offending address in the “to” box.
An “X” will appear to the right. Delete the address using this “X”
The suggestion will now be gone.
Important final step is to go to outlook settings (within the app - top left drop down - select the gear icon) on iPhone and reset account.
iPhone will now “pull down” the amended suggested address tables.

Cannot delete, as far as I can see, incorrect entries in the pop up autocorrect list. We need this!

There needs to be a way to view and delete email addresses that appear in the TO field as auto-complete suggestions via the Outlook for iOS app. I have three address options appearing for the same person, yet only one is correct. I’ve tried deleting these superfluous addresses through the webmail interface and desktop app to no avail. It’s very frustrating!
when you write an email and begin to search for a mail-recipient there is no option to delete recipients which are old / not active anymore. Please add this function as these lists are getting messy and there is no way to delete recipients there.
There needs to be an easy-to-do way to erase/delete a person’s email address that you no longer want to show up in your search.
Facility to delete auto fill in contacts - I sent sensitive email to incorrect person due to not having this feature as when I searched a random email popped up. You are not protecting your customers from gdpr. As you are controlling search contacts instead of user
Need method to delete old unused auto fill contacts.
Being able not to have to see any old email addresses or peoples name
That’s not in our contacts
Goto the contacts list and then delete the contacts or edit them to delete the email id of the people you want to delete. I found that the email ids were saved with the contact details. Once I removed them from the contacts, the prompt was gone. Hope it helps
Not rocket science! Email addresses with typos, from closed or dormant accounts etc need to not pop up as a top choice when entering an email address in the ‘To:’ box! Crazy that this is not possible! So many requests online for a solution to this
This is nuts! Seems like there should be a way to fix this. It’s not only annoying to see outdated emails it encourages sending emails to the wrong people when you aren’t paying very strict attention. This shouldn’t be something I have to pay close attention to.
When I start a new email and start typing an email address the app automatically populates this field with old addresses I have used before. Many of these are now not relevant and I’d like to be able to delete the ones I don’t need anymore.

Users deserve the right to edit this internal autofill list in order to remove addresses that are no longer needed or wanted—for example the email address of an abusive ex.
I was considering deleting my outlook and making a gmail becayee I could not clear ‘people’ I strongly suggest that this becomes an option for us
When I draft an email, if I type an “A” in the “To” category, 37 proposed addresses popup, and more than 30 of them are unknown to me. I want the option to permanently delete them
I’m moving back to gmail
And invite everyone to move to gmail.
They are really better than MS.
I’m jocking !!! But sometimes I really thing about it !
Ability to delete auto fill addresses when writing and e-mail. Frequent contacts can get pushed down farther in the list and worse, the wrong person can get an e-mail if you’re not careful, ha ha. A simple delete box would help. Thanks.
