Attaching Pictures as File attachment also not Picture Inline
Its a huge problem that when we Attach pictures, its added as Pictures inline.
Due to this when i send emails to client, attachment doesn't show in summery.
They think there's no attachments.
Pls bring feature to attachment pictures as an attachment.
So, it shows attachment in summery only.
Kindly pls try to make it asap.
Will wait for your reply.
5 years later and this still hasn’t been fixed. Get your act together Microsoft..... adding photos inline is NOT an acceptable way of uploading photos, especially if I click the attach icon. If it asked me, “would you like to insert this photo, or attach it?” that would be fine.
If I wanted to insert a photo, I’d look for the an “insert” option, not the universally accepted attach icon....

This issue has been ignored much too long. Seriously looking at a Samsung upgrade. No issues with those phones.
Best thing to do is throw out your iPhone and shop for something else. This is ridiculous!
Apple iPhone needs help to send photos from phone to Outlook as jpeg!!!
My attachments, photos, in the email are not as attachments, but as among the text. How do I send a photo as an attachment?
I cannot save pictures to my computer, that were sent from my iPhone to my Outlook email. I used to send them as an attachment and now they are imbedded in the email. So when I try to 'save as picture', in my PHOTOS file on my computer, ONE AT A TIME, its using the format JPEG FILE INETRCHANGE FORMAT!!!! I cant save the picture on my computer! I spent hours on this. I cant do my work. How can this be fixed?

Pushing attachments to outlook is not a great experience and it’s a pain to get documents from iOS files
Photos should be added as an attachment and not just added to the email the way that it is now. I am not able to send important documents to my employment due to multiple photos ending up being too large and the email being none deliverable. Whereas if it was added as an attachment I would be able to send multiple attachments at a time.
When I'm attaching pictures, I wish they could be actual attachments instead of putting the picture in the message itself.
Arggggghhh soo frustrating! I get sent hundreds of photos a day to save and now have to do each individually from each work email this needs to be changed back ASAP

I also switched to Gmail because I can't attach images as attachment. How many years will it still take to add this simple feature?

I need to get photos off my device and into my laptop. Outlook makes that impossible by embedding them in the body of the email.
Always adding photos as embedded image is just horrible.
Add an option to embe within the email but add as an attachment by default
Why do updates seem to go backwards sometimes? Attaching a photo should be the default and easy, like it once was.
I have this same issue with the new ios14 download. It seams everyone including me wants the pictures to attach when emailing them. When will this be fixed?

While adding photo from the ios App, the photo will add in the body of the email. Sometimes we need this photos in attachment so this can’t able to do in the outlook app. In Gmail app while adding photos first it will come in the body of the email, but while double click the image, then we will get an option to make as attachment, this is very useful for making photos as attachment.
This feature helps a lot while replying for the email.
Take your picture, go into Photos app.
Select your photo, press the "Share" icon (square box with up arrow in it).
On the bottom row, choose "Save to Files" and save the picture as a file.
Go back into Outlook (or any Mail app). Choose Add an Attachment.
Select the HEIC file you just saved. Done.
