Attaching Pictures as File attachment also not Picture Inline
Its a huge problem that when we Attach pictures, its added as Pictures inline.
Due to this when i send emails to client, attachment doesn't show in summery.
They think there's no attachments.
Pls bring feature to attachment pictures as an attachment.
So, it shows attachment in summery only.
Kindly pls try to make it asap.
Will wait for your reply.
Take your picture, go into Photos app.
Select your photo, press the "Share" icon (square box with up arrow in it).
On the bottom row, choose "Save to Files" and save the picture as a file.
Go back into Outlook (or any Mail app). Choose Add an Attachment.
Select the HEIC file you just saved. Done.
So I never had an issue in the past till just recently with the photos not going as an attachment. Now it simply won't send as an attachment and its very annoying.

For now when I add pictures it adding in the body of the mail but its not looking good. I have idea to add feature when I add pictures it will be adding to the attachment and not in body.

The feature as it currently stands makes it very cumbersome and time consuming to save or download the images being sent, particularly if the sender is sending many images. You have to right click and "Save as" one photo at a time. Also, there are times when the embedded photo does not display correctly. It gets squished and the photo becomes useless. I've never worked with any other email app that doesn't allow photos to be attached as a file attachment. As Outlook is pretty much the standard email client for most business, I find it shocking that what seems like a fairly basic feature, is not offered even as a option.

When you use the attach icon and select a file from the photo library the image gets embedded rather than attached. Embed and attach should be two separate icons

It doesn't make sence to attach f.ex. a word file as a attachment (which is good) but not a jpg.
Don't want pictures embedded in the email body. Want the option to send as attachments.
If I log in to online version of office 365, I can do this....
Why doesn't the andriod app allow this???? I recently switched from BlackBerry 10 operating system, the email and ability to attach files is far superior and its an old, unsupported operating system!
I see several requests over a long period of time for this feature. I get several update notifications from 365 every month, always looks to see if this one is on the list, never is.... What's the deal?????

When I attach photo, the photo is integrated in the message of the email. It makes the email too cluttered instead to being an attachment only.

I would like the option to attach photos as files, not embed them into the email. It would be nice to be able to choose.
I agree! I am unable to send pictures as attachment, they are all embedded now. I need as attachments. This happens when I send from my gmail account on my iPhone 6SE to my Outlook at my work so it isn't just Outlook on my phone, it is at work where I mainly use this. I cannot figure out a way to change this. I saw some people say I need to change to plain text but I can't figure out how to do that either (on my iPhone).
Why is this not the default

Sending JPG files by email from your phone used to be a fast and simple way of passing on photos with emailed correspondence. Embedding in the email makes copying into another email ridiculously hard
Bring back the attachment capability!!!!
Several times when attempting to email an image I’ve been asked to completely resend the email because the recipient needs the image as an attachment. This is very frustrating and I can’t understand why the embed would be preferred.
Hello, I would like to suggest that you add the function File (not embedded) to the app. Now this has to be done via webmail! Hope that you will be able to do this soon!
With kind regards,

Bring back this feature. It's very uncomfortable to save pics from email then it in body, not as attachment.

go back to having an attached photo actually be attached. not a stupid email message
This feature is not working anymore(to attach a picture from the library as file attachment). PLEASE REPAIR THIS ASAP! Tks
Ability to attach photos from your gallery as an attachment to the email and not embedded in the body of the email. The current workaround uses One Drive and is a 10+ step process.

Delete your signatures that are set up for email. Then test sending a picture. It should show as an attachment.
What I have found, is that if there is anything other than plain text in the email signature, it will send as inline.
