It would be nice to be able to control what types of items create notification banners/alerts. For example I only want to see calendar reminders but not an alert for new emails.
What I find weird is that the option to enable notifications only for Calendar items existed in the Outlook for iOS app in March 2019 but Microsoft took that feature away: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_outlook-mso_imobile-mso_o365b/outlook-ios-app-doesnt-display-calendar/ef8cc9ea-3be6-40b7-9341-44b319e9f1f3
I'd like to turn off notifications for email but keep notifications for calendar items,
It seems like this would be very simple to implement. For example, e-mail notifications could be a little red number on the app on the home screen, then calendar and meeting notifications being the pop-up windows on the top of the iPhone.
Must be able to turn off email notifications but KEEP calendar notifications!!!! It’s just how business works!!!
Need ability to notify only about calendar events and not incoming emails.

Allow ability to show only calendar notifications on iPhone. Today it is email and calendar. I don’t want to be notified of every incoming email. Only upcoming appointments.
I receive too many emails which I don't require notifications. But calendar alert is more relevant as I do not want to miss a meeting. Especially, since COVID-19, the no. of online meetings has increased exponentially.LOL

WeekCal is a great tool, far better calendar. It used to be compatible with Outlook. Would like to see that as an option.

1. Need separate notification settings for calendar events and email notifications
Since I want to use apple calendar for events I’m getting 2 notifications for every event which is annoying. I want to switch off event notifications from outlook calendar. Please provide option for this
I often get a lot of emails which do not require my immediate attention - specifically emails on which I am cc’d or bcc’d. It would be useful to be able to turn off notifications for such emails on mobile so as to prevent notification fatigue.
I am dying for a calendar app with a fully featured notifications system. I continually miss meetings due to the notification being "just another notification".
Can you please make Outlook (On iOS and all other platforms) have repeatable, snooze-able, alerts with customizable sounds and multiple reminders??? If this is a design choice issue surely you can hide it under some advanced features tab!

Looks like the latest update of the App allows granular notification control! Yay!
You can specify which calendars to have notifications from, and also which email accounts, and different levels of notifications for the email accounts (focused, favorite people)... Huge step forward.

I want to pick which notifications I get. With outlook, it’s all or nothing. What if I only want emails from my boss? Or events from a specific calendar?

Up until my Outlook app updated yesterday, I only got calendar notificitions. This morning, I started getting email notifications. I don't get email notifications on the the web or the desktop app. I don't want them on my phone either!
Cut down on all the banner notifications by only receiving alerts for upcoming calendar events not every single email.
The ability to mute emails but have alerts for calendar events for iOS app.
During work hours I am already near my PC and don’t need email alerts, it’s duplicative and annoying. I do need calendar reminders as I may have to go from building to building or in between conference rooms

Can you add an option for adding custom notifications for both email and calendar? I can do this for Apple apps but not Outlook on my iPhone. I’ve been using the same sound bite files for many years on my Android phones and I want to use the same ones on my iPhone.
I can add custom notifications on my Android phone by browsing to the notifications folder and placing the sound file there. Apple locks down the iPhone so you can’t do this. However, Apple does let you add custom notifications but they only work with the built-in Apple apps and not Outlook.
Need a way to identify VIP with notification distinct ring or buzz
So I just realized that this has been done. Why not mark as complete with instructions?
1) turn on notifications in iPhone settings for Outlook.
2) Inside the Outlook app, swipe from left edge to right to open the menu with folders, etc.
3) Touch the gear on the left (settings)
4) Under the Mail heading, touch notifications
4) Touch "none"
This can be done in the Windows app and also the Android app. Why not iOS?
Maybe there are OS-related reasons that make it difficult, but the huge usability issue here justifies whatever workaround is necessary to fix this.
