Jump to next mail by deleting/archiving a mail
It would be much more comfortable when the App would jump directly to the content of the next mail after deleting a mail. So it works in Windows ob a pc or in Apple Mail. When you delete a Mail you see the next mails text.

The OP is from 2015 and we’re now at the end of 2019. I would not call this “under review”. This is my third time trying out Outlook for iOS and will be the third time I’ll delete it. There are still major usability issues like the OP and like the delete button at the top which precludes using the phone one handed.

Like in the computer version of Outlook you should enable users to be able to choose to automatically open the next or previous email upon deleting an email.

Would like an option to activate the following:
When inside an email, if I delete it, currently it take me out to the main inbox and then I have to go inside the next email.
Instead would like when I delete one being inside of the email to take me directly inside of the next new email. Why because I many times have many new emails and I know I just have to read few important things in it and then delete it since I do not need it anymore

Recommend to go to next message in the list when you delete an item and add arrows to move up or down the messages instead of having to go back to list of emails.
Move trash/delete to broom where fingers tend to be to make overall flow better. Takes to much effort to tap on top for trash and everything else is on the bottom. App loses flow.

Every year I come back and test Outlook to see if this simple feature has been introduced and I’m always disappointed.
When you delete or sort and email it should load and view the next or previous email in that inbox.
Every single time I delete an email it takes me back out to the inbox view and I need to work out where I was up to, read another email and after that delete that I go through the whole process again.
Every email program on iOS supports this except Outlook.
So once again I’ll be deleting Outlook and going back to Spark until it’s resolved.

When reading an email on the mobile app and I delete it I would like the app to open the next email in the list. As it is it goes back to the mail list which basically wastes time. 90+% of the time the user wants to read the next email.

Currently, when you enter a message and proceed to delete/move it, you are then taken back to the message list. Please add a simple toggle in Settings to let the user choose to “Display Next Message” or “Return to Message List”. The browser-based outlook.com mailbox has this option in settings. Thank you for your consideration.

Please please please implement this! It is so inefficient to go back to inbox when reading 30 emails at a time!

When an email is open and the trash can symbol selected to delete it, rather than returning to the inbox view the app show automatically open the next email in the inbox for viewing

It is very annoying when I am reading an email then I delete it but then go to the main screen where the emails are. I would suggest to when I delete an email, it would just go to the next email.
Thank you -

It would be nice to be able to see the next email when you delete and email instead of going back to the inbox.
