Jump to next mail by deleting/archiving a mail
It would be much more comfortable when the App would jump directly to the content of the next mail after deleting a mail. So it works in Windows ob a pc or in Apple Mail. When you delete a Mail you see the next mails text.
After archived or deleted a mail go to the next message

Hello, this was proposed 5 years ago! It has nearly 3000 votes at this writing. Anyone there at Microsoft?

When deleting or archiving an email after reading it, the app should go to the next message rather than sending the user back to the Inbox. Having to go back to the Inbox and tap the next message every time (especially with very busy inboxes) is very annoying.
If we Trash the msg PLEASE take us to the next UNREAD msg if there’s none then back to the Inbox ! If we do not trash an OPENED msg Please Please give us a clickable icon to take us to the next UNREAD MSG.
When I open a message it’s b/c I want to read it. When I delete it why not open the next unread msg? In any open msg why not give me a clickable choice to move to the next unread msg?

Absolute must have to be productive on iPhone. It’s already the behavior on iPad and desktop, so why not be consistent ? Also, benchmark Superhuman ;)
This is an obvious feature that still needs to be added.
i understand we can swipe right to archive/delete from inbox view and am not talking about deleting from inbox view.
this feature request is focused on the email item detail view which can be viewed after clicking on an email item in the inbox for view.
when viewing an email and details view and user clicks trashcan to delete message, The user is then taken back to the inbox.
the request is to allow trashcan delete button to do the following
ideally when user Deletes email in email item details view the system will auto open the next message
i would add a preference named. “open next message upon deletion”
I think its crazy that this setting is still missing at this point.
If we open an email and then delete it, please add an option to immediately open the next email (rather than return to the inbox)
I would hate this functionality, so if it is implement please make it an option so that I can choose which workflow I like.
I wonder how hard it is to add this feature. I have been waiting for it long time. As it’s not in outlook, I am not using outlook app for daily use.
When viewing an open email, the delete button is at the top. Having the delete button at the bottom within thumbs reach, and having the option “on delete go to next message “ would make cycling through emails quicker.
After moving or deleting a mail it’s should show next mail instead inbox folder view

After deleting or archiving message, have option to display next message instead of returning to inbox view
We can use swipe left and right to change to next or previous mail, but if after we do zoom in/out then the function stop working.

When reading messages, I like to start at the oldest, read/delete/ mark for action, and go to the next oldest message in the list from the read screen.
When reading emails in Outlook on the Ipad (I usually do this in portrait orientation) it is useful to be able to delete/archive emails. Personally, when catching up on emails I prefer to start with the oldest, and work upwards. Currently in the Outlook app for Ipad, when you are in an email and you delete or archive it using the shortcut button at the top, it defaults to the next (older) email.... not the newer email. It would be useful to have an option to change the behavior in this case if the user prefers so that it opens the next (newer) email... not the older one. Thank you
Definitely valuable to implement this! If possible add the option to either go to the next OR to the previous email.
When deleting an email it should move to the next email VS going back to the inbox. This is available in Boxer as an option, should be available in Outlook too!!
