Don't download attachments automatically
For privacy and data usage

prevent hacking & viruses due to automatic attachments due to automatic downloads.
I'm pretty sure I just viewed an email from an unknown sender and Outlook downloaded the images in the email, which has allowed them to know that I received the email.
All images should absolutely be blocked from unknown senders like in the web version of Outlook!
Big nono till this is available. I will check back in a fee Month or not?

Please add a setting that let's me choose whether to download images automatically. I get too much spam and I don't want the beacons in messages to encourage more. Now that this ability to selectively load images is in Apple Mail, I have stopped using Outlook but I greatly prefer the bulk sorting in Outlook. Please add this feature.
By the way, key to this is not just a setting but a button on msgs that says ok to load images for this. Even better, do like gmail on web and allow an "always load images from this sender" option.

To avoid pixel tracking, it would be great to be able to not automatically load remote content

Outlook for iOS must have an option to not Automatically Download Images, for security/privacy.

The app needs an option to download the pictures attached to the mails just like the others attachments like documents where I can decide if I want download it or not.

Is there an option to not automatically load every spam image in preview? You know like the way outlook actually works everywhere else?

I would like the ability to disable the downloading of HTML images, along with a "show images" button when this option is active. This feature is common in email apps and gives the user the ability to save bandwidth, as well as enhanced privacy/security, as HTML images are often used for read receipts.

Gmail has this feature. We need this for Outlook. It saves data and prevents malicious automatic download.
We need this option to not have attachments automatically downloaded in our emails.
Outlook is exactly what I want, except it downloads embedded images automatically and there is no option to turn it off, even my email is set not to display image. Please add the option to not to load image!

When can we expect to see this basic privacy function implemented? The option to toggle "Load remote images" has been a basic function within the stock Apple iOS Mail app for a long time. Same with other mail apps that allow for privacy and disabling the tracking beacon that marketers and others use to know when emails are opened, etc. Seems like an important no-brainer function to have, so hoping we get to see that here soon?

This is still under revies? Show how much MS values our security!
I can't use this application without this feature.

It's not even sufficient that external images are downloaded for all well-known senders. These are treated as read-receipts, and for some companies even with which I do business, I don't want them tracking which emails I read.
At a minimum, please allow blocking external images in the non-focused inbox.
Don't auto download them option. Until then stuck with mail

Need to have an option to not automatically download and display external content in emails.

To help protect us from junk e-mail senders: Block or unblock automatic picture downloads in e-mail messages. This a must feature for your app!
Advantages of blocking automatic picture downloads include:
* Helping you avoid viewing potentially offensive material (when external content is linked to the message).
* Helping to keep malicious code from damaging the data on your computer.
* If you are on a low-bandwidth connection, blocking allows you to decide whether a particular image warrants the time and bandwidth that are required for downloading it.

Hi, I've been test driving the app about a month. Thank you.
I see your app downloads one month or 1000 emails.
I see I can turn off background refresh in iOS, but not on Android.
When roaming overseas or when I'm nearing my domestic data limit, I would like to limit the amount of data used:
1. Whether or not attachments are downloaded on cell data vs wifi
2. Whether or not attachments are downloaded automatically at all
3. A governor such that only the first 50kb, 100kb, 150kb, etc of the message is downloaded. This would help download just a portion of each email so that I could decide whether it's worth downloading the rest of it, waiting for wifi, or deleting it without wasting the data
Thanks for considering.

Just like in Outlook 2013 or in the built in iOS mail app, there is a feature to disable loading remote content in mail messages for security reasons.
