I have rules setup so that my emails are sorted into sub folders in my inbox. The mobile version does not provide the option to receive notifications for any folders other than the focused and other inbox. Please add this feature.

When the app is closed i would love a feature that would show you have new emails in your subfolders and not just your main inbox.

When using mailbox rules to move messaged to subfolders, mobile notifications are not received for any messages that trigger a rule. It would be nice to be able to customize notifications for specific subfolders. For example, notifications could be turned on and off for individual subfolders to still work with rules.

I would like for the option to be notified by certain folders of my choice. I have rules setup in Outlook that automatically go to certain folders and I need to be notified on my iPhone when e-mail goes into that folder. Setting Notifications by Focused of Favorite People does not work.

Notification icon that shows emails in subfolders. Right now, the notification icon on the app only shows emails in the main inbox.

I have found a work around. I downloaded Power Automate from the App store and set it up to send push notifications when I receive an email in a specific sub folder.

Under Review since 2015
We are not looking for this app to work in a special way, we are looking to use it as designed. Outlook has rules built into it forever since the '90s and all we want is to receive notifications based on the functionality outlook has built into it.
Microsoft don't be lazy, give the functionality it should have had since day one.

When there is a separate folder and is been divided into some personal sub folder i.e, for eg : 4 people in a separated folder and when i personally log into outlook i want a feature that notifies me on the home screen when I personally get a mail to my personalised place ,instead notifying to the whole set of people when sent to the group.

It's a big problem that the Android app does not deliver notifications for messages routed to folders by rules. This means you must choose between getting notifications or keeping your messages categorized. You should be able to toggle the notification and sync preferences for every individual folder on the app. (The app doesn't show "category" labels either, a separate but related problem.)
