Tasks in Outlook
You can now create a task from an email on Outlook for iOS for your Outlook O365 account. You can also see your top 3 tasks and can check off them off in the search homepage by tapping on the Search button at the bottom of your screen. To do more with your tasks like adding due dates and reminders, you can use the Microsoft To Do app.
All the best,
The Outlook Mobile Team

Disappointing that you cannot have task functionality within the Outlook app. I came here from a thread where this was raised over 3 years ago and i am shocked to see you haven't fixed.
If I wanted to use multiple apps to manage emails and tasks I would use a dedicated tasks app which would likely be more effective, as it is I am using Outlook specifically because I want to have everything in one place (hence why I pay for a 365 subscription) so it isnt really good enough to have functionality in the Outlook program that isnt supported in the Outlook app.
Please create a fully functioning tasks app for outlook ios. I don't want to use another app - Microsoft To-Do - I pay a subscription for 365 and expect it to be included. It's so fundamental to productivity, I can't understand why it isn't a top priority to include it. I'm experimenting with all the ios functionality to see if I can bypass outlook altogether.

Love the direction this is going guys.
Had a go at it just now and found a few things that could be improved.
When I create a task from an email in the Outlook iOS app, the curser sits at the end of the subject line. As I would like to throw a few words of my own in at this point to describe the task, it is difficult to move the cursor to the front of the text line without accidentally marking it as complete.
When I create a task from the email in Outlook there is no provision to add due date. Finding it in the To Do app in order to give it a date is clumsy as it takes a while to show up and you need to find the undated tasks.
In the Outlook app I can be signed in to multiple accounts, but the To Do app only allows me to sign in to one a time. Therefore if I create a task from an email account which is not the one I am signed into in the To Do app, I cannot see it.
If I choose to action the Task in the desktop Outlook, sadly the link to the email is missing.
I look forward to seeing the next raft of improvements
Are use Outlook and tasks on my iPhone. When I create a task in the mail app on my phone I can view the email in the tasks app. When I go to do my tasks on windows 10 desktop. It does not show up correctly.

This wasn't actually completed! It is a start in the right direction but still doesn't solve what was asked for.

The only thing that makes this complex (with the current implementation) is if i have multiple accounts that i can use todo with in Outlook. E.g. microsoft.com and live.com. The create task context shows available in all those accounts, but only the single account you have signed in in Todo actually works. Looks like a bug becuase it's now working, but it's only becuase the single signed in account is actually working. Maybe now we need multiple account sign in in todo like the PC client.
Please make tasks available in the iOS app. Thanks.

The non integration of my tasks for outlook on my Windows pc in the outlook on IOS is my major reason so far for not using outlook for calendar and emails on IOS, but using the standard IOS applications
Ad tasks !

Like in desktop it would be great to see tasks attached to calendar to better manage day. Todo app is great but doesn’t give you a seamless view of tasks and calendar entries on the one screen making it harder to manage your day
Please can you add tasks to outlook. 🙏🙏

I can add a task feature on the PC version of outlook but cannot view or see the reminder on the mobile version, it would be nice to have that feature so task/ todo can be added in the mobile which we have access to all the time compared to computer.

I use Outlook for both my professional (Office 365 subscription on Exchange) and personal lives (IMAP with .ost file). I have multiple PCs and an iPhone. I am requesting Microsoft to bring Outlook into the age of multiple devices and cloud data and maintain capability/dominance that was once established on the home PC.
1) In one app, accommodate email, contacts, calendars, and tasks for multiple accounts/groups. Separating To-Do's is a step in the wrong direction.
2) Allow syncing of data and operations with multiple devices including PCs and mobile phones. (As of iOS13, Apple is no longer handling tasks sync and this is preventing iPhone native workarounds for what should be accomplished with Outlook mobile app)
3) Include support for color categories and archive files in the above. (pst files are not recommended to be used on cloud servers to support multiple devices)
Add Tasks and ability to complete tasks in ios outllok

Please add Tasks to the Outlook IOS app. With the impending Wunderlist shut down, I'm trying to figure out how to replace it since I can't use ToDo (business exchange server). Gotta have my Tasks accessible on iOS.

This is not completed. When can you add a task to ToDo directly from an email Outlook. Then you will be making life easier.
IT’S A NO BRAINER guys, so please just do it!
