Show Unread Mail Count per Account
It would be helpful to see the unread message count for each separate account on the accounts menu in mail view.

Would be great if there was a number badge indicating how many unread messages there were in each mailbox
Highlight folders with unread mail

If you have multiple mail boxes, please show only notifications for new mail for only active (selected) mailbox(es) in tile. E.g. if business mail bix is selected, only show new mail in tile for this box. If also private mail box is selected (show all), then show new mail notification in tile for both mail boxes.

The badge count is showing each individual thread as unread, rather than treating them as a single email. So it shows 10 unread emails on the badge, but in reality it’s just one email with 10 threads.
Can we have two counters of the # emails on the icon for two different email address?
Or at least to choose which is effective?
It does **** show the number of emails I have in my inbox. Only the number unread
Not much to ask for.

Both on home screen on top of app and within the app. Unless this is a feature you can switch on but is see nothing obvious in settings! Thanks
It would be nice to have the correct number of emails. The badge seldom references the correct number of email. Also the app doesn’t sync properly
I stopped using Apple’s default email app because I couldn’t keep track of how many emails I had gone through so I switched to the outlook app. I would like to have an exact number of my unopened emails all the time so I can keep track of them properly.
It might be a good idea to place a counter indicating the number of unread messages left at the inbox while you’re within a message (for example, “2 of 37” at the top, etc). This so one knows how many messages are left to be read if I’m swiping from one message to another instead of returning to the inbox and selecting the next message.
That way the user could know that it already tackled all the messages through the swipe method, and it’s not reading things that are already “marked as read”.

Allow badge to show either calendar date or unread emails
Badge count on unread emails unreliable.
un read mails should be quickly highligheted when open the mail box and it should be at the right corner. The number should be only belongs to inbox only not from subfolders.
iPhone 6s iOS 13.3 or older
The notification counter on the app icon is not updated imidiatly, it needs for app to be placed in backGround and opened again, this thing tilts me AF and it ocured more than 6 months now
Possible to only show the count for unread emails for a specific mail account on the app.
Example: I have three mail accounts but are only interested in seeing unread email count for one of the accounts.
I want to have a way to know I have unread email in each account and the count. Can we put on the drop down when selecting the different mailboxes a count so I don’t have to go to each mailbox before I know the number of unread email.
When I pull open the sidebar to change mailboxes there is just a dot on the mailbox that indicates unread messages, change the dot to the number of unread messages please

Put a number next to “focused” and “others” flip button to show how many unread items are in each box. Maybe have a setting to turn this feature on/off
It would be really helpful to see how many unread mails are in each account rather than just having a total badge count so I don’t have to search through all my accounts to see which one has a new mail
