Outlook Tasks, Task List & Categories
I use the “Getting Things Done” method at work and use Outlook tasks to organize my work activities. I create tasks from emails, apply a category, place priority, next items, the whole process. I get home and use my iPad for checking and responding to email and check my calendar for the next days activities. Problem is I cannot see my TaskList and categorized tasks I rely on to manage my day. I really would like you to consider making tasks and categories available in the IOS app to match the functionality of the MS software.

I cannot see the tasks I put in Outlook on my laptop/ desktop Outlook App on my iphone Outlook App.
1. Can we see them in the mobile Outlook App?
2. Previously tasks entered in desktop Outlook in an iCloud-Tasks "folder" synced directly to my "reminders" list on iphone - part of Apple iOS. Now Apple has removed that from iCloud function which caused all my Outlook tasks to vanish. New tasks that I added to that "folder" in desktop Outlook do not sync to "reminders" and I cannot see them on my mobile Outlook App . Can Microsoft work with Apple to revive that? They have showed willingness to work on it - reference my Apple Support Case # 101317127619 -

Mail and calendar are good but I’d like to organize my tasks in mobile. Tried “MyDay” and didn’t like it, I’d like to organize my to do’s in the same Outlook app. Also, please add a task calendar view where I can see just the tasks in a calendar view similar to Tasks in Teams.

Where is the “task“ functionality? I need to be able to use tasks in the app with the same functionality as my desktop.

Tasks should be able to be assigned while sending an email instead of it being another step. Look at asana works with email. While sending an email to a staff, you’re able to send an email to their designated asana email so the task gets assigned while sending the email. However with Microsoft, we have to create a task as a seperate step, and it’s a hassle and sometimes gets forgotten and inefficient.

I love the new interface and format of outlook/calendar and it’s complementary workflows. Like the desktop application, I’d like to request the Task icon to be included as an access point and additional extension to outlook. Appreciate you guys and the tools you create.

Use of To Do app alleviates these issues and is a viable option. However as almost everyone points out it should be integrated into Outlook not a separate app to go back and forth from.

Tasks at the bottom of weekly view is now available for windows version of outlook. However, im now switching to ipad as full time laptop replacement. This feature would complete the experience for the ultimate productivity tool. Weekly goal would keep the task and calendar integration and drive more focus. Im sure people would love it.

A quick and convenient task list as part of the app
Items can be created from emails or quick thoughts from calls or details or notes from meetings or appointments -

Add task to calendar view similar to desk top view online.

It’s a huge inconvenience that you cannot open and view or manage tasks. I would love to see that fixed.

The best time management techniques all revolve around being able to schedule time for tasks to be accomplished. Tasks should be added to Outlook for iPad, and you should be able to drag tasks onto your calendar to schedule time to complete them.

Put TASKS into Outlook for iOS exactly as they are for the Pc/Mac desktop applications.
Creating “workarounds” and using separate apps is NOT a valid, or viable, alternative.

I agree with this need and other comment details that have been made. It is especially more critical for me because Trello is being rolled into Atlassian and having to be tied to an account. So I’ll be migrating more into Tasks, including my personal but can’t do anything since Tasks aren’t available in iOS.

Would be nice to be able to convert gmail to tasks (now only works for Office, hotmail, etc)

I have multiple outlook accounts ( Work and Personal) on the outlook app. While having the option to create tasks on To Do List is great, I’m not able to take tasks from both my accounts into my to do list app because to do list is linked with only one outlook account.

I primarily use Apple stock apps within an Apple ecosystem.
The “Tasks” section in the search tab on Outlook iOS app shows my tasks, but only allows me to view them with Microsoft To Do app.
This makes this feature redundant (without coercion into using Microsoft To Do) as I need to exit Outlook & open Apple Reminders to view the same tasks. I can create, edit & delete tasks in the Apple Reminders app.
I don’t want to use Microsoft To Do app. If you won’t let me access my tasks via Apple Reminders app, remove the tasks feature from the Outlook iOS app

Instead of showing the top three tasks on the search homepage it will be better if the user is allowed to select a specific task list, such as my day, to be displayed on the search homepage.
