Search for contacts
Would be good if outlook could pickup contacts frequently emailed and pull in the likely phone number or address for that person based on email history. Currently very hard to do this in Outlook App

Search and create contacts via categories , how do you create and categorize on the desktop but can’t add or search those on the app

Search and I put contacts per category , desktop allows us to categorize but then we can’t search or add contact via app per category.. meet a client on the road.. can’t add per category ... want to search contractors per category in the field ...

After numerous ‘cosmetic’ updates and a couple of years past, still not possible to search a contact by company name, unbelievable.

When the search box is used it searches all app databases including emails. Please add a search for only contacts

I find the Contacts/People function clumsy and awkward to use. A dedicated People search would be a huge improvement over the hybrid confusing Search arrangement that exists.

Please disable contact segregation feature!!!
I email people outside my organization 100% of the time and it is **** to do on my phone now. It takes forever to add the 5-6 people to the email by scrolling down and clicking people outside of the organization.

On the contacts it does not have a microphone so you can speak the contacts name. You have to type it in.

To be able to personalize your contacts by categories you assign them

Having access to existing contacts but most importantly, the feature that allows you to ADD/CREATE contacts to be included with the search feature is about as unintuitive as you could possibly get. Putting it in the collapsible sidebar or in the permanent bottom bar would be far more, naturally intuitive. I have to search FAQ’s every time I want to add a contact because it’s located in such a bizarre place that I would never guess and can’t remember bc it’s so illogical - like having an oven located in the bathroom kind of bizarre.

On search, it looks like it lists contacts that I have sent emails to. There is no way to reset or clear this.

In Outlook iOS contacts, it would be helpful if one could search by the name of the company, in addition to or instead of the contacts name.

If there are several contacts at a company and I forget their names it would be helpful to be able to search for all contacts under the company name.

Searching for Contacts or part Contact names is abysmal. For example you should be able to search for ‘Taxis’ and retrieve all contacts which provide Taxi services.

At present in the phone Outlook App I can only search by name, ideally I would like to identify contacts that are in a particular location, as example, I would like to search all contacts in “Harley Street”, this is currently not possible.

Hi there. Anyway we can just search emails or just contacts - it’s frustrating when you just want to look for the last email from someone and you get a whole bunch of other stuff.
Thanks!

Some contacts let you edit them.
Some make you go to a link to edit; sometimes the link works-sometimes the link does not work.
You can never be certain if your info is saved and you will find it later unless you use your PC. This the mobile app is unreliable
The search is still extremely poor and requires use of another app to allow contact functionality. Sometimes outlook cannot find contacts and you have to type exactly. It would be neat if search worked like the PC version. Search by a first or last name or partial names , search by company, search by words in the note section. Apple and Samsung on the phone as well as outlook on the PC do this. Every time I need to look something up I feel frustrated before I begin and sometimes I just use other apps since I know I won’t find it in the outlook app. If I did not have outlook at work I would never use this app. This is the app was good people might use on their phones and then decide they want on their PC. -

Contacts are the most important use of emails to people more than once. Why is their no ability in search or somewhere to create a brand new contact. Yeah I can make a contact if I received an email at the hidden area at the bottom but from a brand new one you need to use web mail. It is a ridiculous oversight when you added search and removed people from the app.

Please consider improving the “search” for all fields and any order for the “contacts” entries

Current search feature is inefficient and difficult to get the desired result.
1. Provide a dedicated icon for Contacts/People.
2. Provide a search box at the top of the listing.
3. Enable sort order and display to be configured - Last name, First name or First Name Last Name.
4. Support syncing contacts from sub-folders and retain grouping.
5. When multiple Services are configured, allow filtering by account source.
6. Sync photos to iCloud contacts.
7. Support for Outlook categories.
