Search for contacts
Would be good if outlook could pickup contacts frequently emailed and pull in the likely phone number or address for that person based on email history. Currently very hard to do this in Outlook App
Hi there. Anyway we can just search emails or just contacts - it’s frustrating when you just want to look for the last email from someone and you get a whole bunch of other stuff.

Some contacts let you edit them.
Some make you go to a link to edit; sometimes the link works-sometimes the link does not work.
You can never be certain if your info is saved and you will find it later unless you use your PC. This the mobile app is unreliable
The search is still extremely poor and requires use of another app to allow contact functionality. Sometimes outlook cannot find contacts and you have to type exactly. It would be neat if search worked like the PC version. Search by a first or last name or partial names , search by company, search by words in the note section. Apple and Samsung on the phone as well as outlook on the PC do this. Every time I need to look something up I feel frustrated before I begin and sometimes I just use other apps since I know I won’t find it in the outlook app. If I did not have outlook at work I would never use this app. This is the app was good people might use on their phones and then decide they want on their PC.
Contacts are the most important use of emails to people more than once. Why is their no ability in search or somewhere to create a brand new contact. Yeah I can make a contact if I received an email at the hidden area at the bottom but from a brand new one you need to use web mail. It is a ridiculous oversight when you added search and removed people from the app.
Please consider improving the “search” for all fields and any order for the “contacts” entries
Current search feature is inefficient and difficult to get the desired result.
1. Provide a dedicated icon for Contacts/People.
2. Provide a search box at the top of the listing.
3. Enable sort order and display to be configured - Last name, First name or First Name Last Name.
4. Support syncing contacts from sub-folders and retain grouping.
5. When multiple Services are configured, allow filtering by account source.
6. Sync photos to iCloud contacts.
7. Support for Outlook categories.
More search filter options for contacts. Also make the search more flexible and less specific.

Search field for contacts to search fast for contacts!!!
So I guess all I can do is scroll though contacts. I can’t actually type and search. I have about 7000 but who cares right?
Hi All, i work for Sony and i have an Executive i support in my office, we had to transition him over from native iPhone mail app to outlook as it would cause less sync issues with calendar adds and removals, thank you for that, however, something that would really increase productivity and for this exec to rely on the outlook mobile app, is the ability to search through contacts manually, the list is rather large and he does not necessarily need email threads to be included within the results, so far he’s been having to login to laptop to do that but he has shown his discontent with the lack of Search filters, thanks for your time.
Search feature doesn’t work...simple as that.

It is currently impossible to search for a contact within the contacts database of the iOS version of Outlook. This is endlessly frustrating. Please, PLEASE, consider adding this capability soon.

The current search is almost unusable
V difficult to find contacts
Desktop outlook does this ok
Contacts do not integrate with the iPhone phone dialling
Would LOVE to see a search feature "directly" in the Contacts area.
Yes, I know it's alphabetical on the right hand side.
......but a search box there would be terrific.
If you search for a number, then contacts containing the number or area code etc don't get highlighted.
I don't do it often, but when researching things from an extensive contact list you can search for random data in a contact on a PC, but not on the mobile version.
When using an Office 365 account then the search functionalities should include phone number. For instance if you have missed a call from a colleague but you do not know who it is then you could search for it (provided the information is in the proper fields within your organizations Office 365 tenant)
Add a category under the search feature that allows to search only for contacts info.
Why can’t I get phone number and address from this app?
