n the People/browser app, there is a category called "Contact List". I use this frequently as a the old-fashioned "distribution list". This functionality is missing in Outlook/iOS. I want to use the same "contact list" in the People/browser app when using Outlook/iOS

It takes too long time to sync contacts to native ios contacts. Users expects this to be almost realtime. Not having to wait for hours to sync

bi-directional Syncing is a requirement if you need to use Outlook for app protection. Outlook for IOS contacts being a one-way sync is a major hurdle for our organization

Any characters I type in should pull up every name, phone, email I have.

A place with contacts names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. So you can contact them.

Totaly agree with the coments below. Contacts needs to be implemented properly as this is normal business need! Also it should be possible to save vCards directly in the app.

Truly a terrible shortcoming with this app. My company is migrating to outlook mobile and it is causing a nightmare. Not being able to regularly sync contacts between iOS native app and this app is beyond frustrating. Duplicate work is completely unnecessary.
Extra work required in calendar is frustrating as well (but that’s for another topic/post).

Searching is a little better with people email events on top but it is not well written code. If I type part of a contact name or business name it should show up. Example. Donna’s pet depot only shows up when I type the whole thing. If I type any one part it finds nothing. I added “and groomer” . Then tested and when I type groomer it comes up right away. So weird and I continue to need 3rd party software to find many contacts that are new and ones that have been on my computer outlook for years.

Cannot use outlook iOS or android, despite I would love because of the inability of this program to understand that people need control over their contacts. Own office 365, do not have any email accounts with Microsoft so impossible to set it up and have a decent contact address book. Come on Microsoft, you know email better than anyone yet you fail to deliver decent contact management on iOS and Android for people who don’t link to a Microsoft email address

Improving? It’s not existent. There should be a dedicated Contacts tab at the bottom that lists all the contacts from my selected account. Like every other email app known to Man.

This issues summery
1. Contacts had made using Mac controlled about.for example, under the iOS controlled Contact can't completely delete.may be third party program same.
2. calendar has same condition.
3. I think under the ios
condition .in this case log in to icloud must can delete. If iphone, ipad used same icloud into very complex ,because each app and each ios version are.
4. I'm researching many cases are.
5.This issues have most worthily problems are easy stalking harm impossible.
for example trigger is bluetooth and notification these signal are very weak this means peripheral connect air TV ( fake) made up. there people says you are copy right ,copy right. In fact that these people are theft.

It is unbelievable that this problem hasn't been addressed yet. It angers me since it is so dangerous because not only can you accidentally wipe out some fields without even having tapped EDIT in the upper-right on a Contact's page if you leave it open on them or you aren't careful.
It you goof, there is no Close that doesn't Save it unless you can remember to double-tap the Home button and slide that Contact closed which it then does without Saving it.
This needs to be fixed asap. Thanks for letting me vent. This has been bugging for a few years.
I've told this exact thing to Contact Support (?) in the Outlook for iOS app and they say that since the Edit link of each Contact is in the upper-right corner on all of the Contacts I was describing, those are the Apple phone's app contacts and not theirs so I need to contact Apple.
Their Contacts are in the app itself, not the phone's phone icon & their Edit link is down in the bottom row. -

It’s frustrating that the old Email addresses for contacts can’t be deleted similar to the functionality in windows 10 app.
