Ability to set sync
Just like native mail client allows you to set how many days you want to sync, would like the ability to set a threshold (day, week, month, all) of what gets synced to my phone.
unlike the native iOS email app, there is no option to select the “sync days” and the default option doesn’t allow to sync ”ALL MAIL” making it very hard to see old emails.
Instead of enforcing a mandatory sync of only 500 messages make this a setting that the user can adjust base on number of days. I get 500 messages every few days and as a result I can’t even keep a week’s worth of email on my phone and this is extremely frustrating. The benefits of the feature rich Outlook for iOS app are outweighed by this extreme shortcoming. I’d rather go back to the native Apple email client.
We are switching back to the Apple iOS mail client because Microsoft can’t sync more than 30 days of emails. As a business we need to be able to refer back to historical emails on mobile devices. Just pitiful on Microsoft’s part that Outlook for iOS can’t match a basic feature that the Apple iOS mail client does easily, and we are on an Exchange mail server. Outlook iOS support claims there is no plan to fix this as it is not deemed a bug but rather an architectural design of the Exchange server. Users are not interested in the “why not” excuses.
The native Apple Mail app allows users to sync 1 week, 1 Month, 3 Months, etc. Outlook app needs this feature.
Absolutely necessary to work effectively with Outlook!
30 days are not useful!
For example a choice of 1 / 3 / 6 Month or 2 years or no limit!
Able to sync back to no limit of emails.
It seems like my emails disappear from the app after two weeks. I would like to change the default period emails are stored in the app (and think I did iä when I had an Android instead of iOS)
Love the outlook app but the ability to only sync 30 days makes it next to useless
Suggest an ability to suns as far back as you want.
At the moment I don’t see an option to sync this many days only / weeks / months in outlook ... please add this option....this will help iPhones which doesn’t have much storage , for example 16gb storage phones.

365 is so frustrating!!!!
Just do what I ask you to do when I ask you to do it.
Update/resynch/refresh whatever you like WHEN I AM NOT USING THE DEVICE!!!!!!!

I have emails spanning years in my inbox. Random emails are flagged or marked as unread. I need to be able to quickly view flagged and unread emails, even if they are 6 months old. The way the app is setup right now, this cannot happen because the inbox only goes back a month or so until you have to manually “load more conversations.”
The way this is currently setup is inefficient and lame. Phones have lots of capacity for emails, let’s us it.

Would be useful to get the option to limit the length of time that your mail box is sync. Eg , 1 week, 1 month , 3 month etc

It is impossible to use this app as a business account e-mail client without this feature.
Give the ability to decide how many days to sync (e.g. 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month). This feature has been on the native mail app for a long time.

Hi there. I would like to suggest more granular control over notifications. Currently I disable notifications because I get 200 messages a day. But, in doing so, I also seem to disable my meeting reminders.
If I am in error; please let me know. If not; surely I am not the only person with this issue. Being able to mute notifications for mail but still have calendar/ meeting reminders would great!!
Feel free to contact me for more details if needed. John.firstname.lastname@example.org (alumni)

It would be nice to set the number of days to sync on my phone. I can set it for the iPhone mail, but has no affect on results here and there is nothing in the settings here to do the same.

Too limiting the 1000 overall emails / 500 per folder or 1month

There’s no option in this app to choose how far back to synchronize email. The default mail app lets you choose between 3 days and 1 month. If the app is locking up because there are too many emails populating in the app, why wasn’t this introduced?!
Allow users of they want to sync everything (contacts, calendar and email) or just one or just a mixture of information.
