Single touch search
To search I have to;
1) touch search magnifying glass
2) touch on text field
3) after entering text, i have to touch ‘search’.
Suggest when search magnifying glass is touched, search field is auto selected with keyboard available straight away. Search should commence after 1.5 seconds of no further entry (with search cancelled if further text is entered).

If it helps in the meantime you can double tap on the magnifying class. This brings you immediately to the search field.

Outlook iOS search is subpar and not competitive with Apple’s search capability in the Apple Mail Client. We compared identical searches in Outlook iOS and the Apple Mail Client and the results are orders of magnitude better in the Apple Mail Client. We recently started using the Apple Mail Client due to other shortcomings in Outlook iOS such as no mail syncing of more than 30 days and instabilities of Outlook iOS on IOS 13.xx.

It would be nice to have the group that we have pop up immediately when we start typing instead of having to search through our groups.
If someone knows how to do this, please let me know!

I cannot search on company name or key words in the notes of a contact. I can do these things on the desktop, just not inside the app!

Mobile app search is very cumbersome - especially when the same person utilizes outlook on several devices - this makes the mobile version seem so inferior - yet the mobile version is being relied on more and more and more so inferior is just not appropriate

Apple mail app has a quick powerful complete search feature. I can’t use outlook search as it’s not complete enough for searching

Shouldn’t have to click on the bottom search bar. Should just be a pull down spot when you click on the mailbox you want to search.

Completely agree with this request...When I use one of my swipe settings on a message, i have it set to “move”. When I swipe on a message, my folders pop up, the search bar should also automatically be selected so that I can search for the folder I want to move the message to.

Searching this site is very difficult.
I have been unable to find out what, if any expressions or wild cards can be used to search strings of more than one word. The default appears to be searching for any values as opposed to narrowing the results for all values. using too many words returns most of the forums results.
Please define search options for this site on this page or via a link.
I am spending a vote on this topic as I find this site too difficult and time consuming to use as it is.

This is more of a defect than a feature recommendation. It’s close to impossible to search for old email in the Sent folder or Inbox. It’s incredibly cumbersome. I just use the windows desktop client. It’s simple and it works. Seems like threads cause this feature problems on the ipad.

When I touch the search button, bring me to search field. Don’t make me tap again in the text search field box
