App is very limiting that it is not integrated with anything outside of itself and does not work with any other iOS feature. For example, you cannot pull up a contact and initiate a text or iMessage conversation. That needs to be done from the native contacts all.
Even more limiting when using for work, which I am now required to do so I cannot even use the calendar workaround for iCloud. I have a personal outlook account as well but found I had more functionality with outlook through the native apps.
Outlook mobile also does not support .vcf files which is problematic for business travelers who may need to share contacts on the go.
Love outlook but this mobile app falls short in so many ways.

It would be nice to put in email addresses from our phone contacts. It doesn’t work well right now.

Recent changes to accessibility to contacts has made things more difficult for email creation on my iPad and iPhone with Outlook. PLEASE CHANGE to allow primary use of a chosen contact database so that those contacts appear as choices automatically (like they used to) without having to choose and open a desired contact database, The list of contacts after choosing an alternate database then appears without knowing if email is primary, secondary, etc. And most of the time the contact is entered on the email with their name followed by their email in parentheses, rather than just their name as in the past.
Altogether recent update to the system is extremely unsatisfactory!

Is this happening anytime before the sun burns out? This is a basic functionality, which we have users screaming about since we shifted over to the Outlook for iOS app. Talk about unimpressed.

Outlook doesn’t sync my contacts. Mail app does a better job. Also needs to add a contacts tab

By directional access to the contacts. I want to be able to add a contact in the IOS app and be able to see them in Outlook. At the moment I can see only the ones that I add from Outlook.

Requiring Icloud account to be enabled on ios device for contact sync via "Save Contacts" is not acceptable in a security conscious environment. We would like the sync to happen locally without icloud enablement requirement.
We have thousands of managed ios devices that have Icloud disabled by design at the MDM level to prevent unauthorized usage. The devices need the ability of contacts synced up so they can be used locally to establish incoming and outgoing communications via phone and txt.
If icloud is enabled, and then the contacts app is disabled from syncing with icloud, outlook sync still works, but it requires icloud to be enabled to change the contacts functionality.
Ios allows "ios contacts" to be stored locally only, so that app works without icloud. So should the outlook sync integration.

The Outlook app doesn’t pull info from my iPhone address book. It is a hassle. I have to copy emails addresses from my contacts app and paste into Outlook.

Hi, love your app and service. Very much get frustrated with the interaction with Contacts within outlook.
I wish there was a contacts button, like the calendar, I could click and then exclusively search within that wouldn’t search any other items (mail, calendar, etc). I have a lot of contacts and often I forget people’s names so I need to search for them by keywords. This would make the app much more user friendly for me.
Many thanks

Please allow access to local contacts on iOS and MacOS. All the contacts on Outlook has to come from each account’s own directory but my contacts are stored on locally on my phone and Mac. This is the only feature that’s prevent me switch from Spark

I would love for the contacts to be separated from the entire outlook app. Now I have to go through three or four extra steps just to find a contact since you don’t interface with iPhones contacts. I wouldn’t utilize outlook at all if my company didn’t force me too. I feel like my smart phone is a brick.

When I add a new contact to my address book, I expect to be able to use that contact to compose an email, but Outlook doesn’t use the builtin iOS contacts for some reason.

In my Outlook client and OWA I have two contacts lists within my mailbox. However, the app only shows those in the default contact list. I need to see the other list in the app too - please can additional contact lists within the mailbox also sync to the app?
Many thanks
