Get rid of “Read More” button.
Having a “Read More” button in long emails is stupid. I opened the email because I wanted to read it. Not just the first few paragraphs.
And if you insist on having this then at least have the button work properly. Currently hitting “Read More” just opens the email in a new window and takes you back to the top of the email. So then you’re left scrolling through trying to find where you were at and completely lose your train of thought.

Why would I ever want to be asked whether I want to read an email after I open to read it? Why make me click twice? Why waste my time?

Download the whole e-mail so we don’t have to click on “more” and then have to read it in another window. That is ridiculous. You don’t need to do that with Outlook 365 online.

Our company agrees that this is an annoying feature that could best be resolved with a functional capability that allows users to define their preference in settings. This would allow for performance benefits for users not interested or frustrated with clicking 'Read More' whilst also allowing those it frustrates to receive full download immediately and without interaction.

READ MORE needs to go! I subscribe to many newsletters and have to click the READ MORE button every time, which 1. Throws me back to the top of the email, and 2. Opens the email in a popover screen, which on an iPad is easy to accidentally tap out of, which closes the window and I have to start the whole process over again. Infuriating UI design.

If microsoft wants to focus on efficiency for the user this is not how to do it. If it’s a lame data tracking tool I would rethink that plan quickly.

Allow me to read long messages without having to click a Read More button. I should just be able to scroll to the end without having to go to a popover screen. That’s a terrible UX.

It’s 2020. Our devices can handle it. If I dudhh by recant to load the whole email, I wouldn’t have opened it!

It has to be the worst feature on an email app... why on earth wouldn’t you want to read the whole email, defeats the point of using an email app, get rid of it please

Get rid of the Read More and opening a new window. If you’re going to make a ne window, at least let’s us swipe out of it instead of having to hit the X in the top left. It’s very annoying. Also, the search feature is useless and nothing compared to the real Outlook. We should be able to search specific folders and exact wording. I can’t ever find anything in the mobile app. I have to load up the desktop app when I need to search.

I would also like read more to go away, both because it loses my place in the email I was reading, but also because it has to be re-triggered if I leave the app for a moment.
When reading a newsletter, there are often links to related material on the web. Each time I click one of those, take a few minutes to read the online material, and then return to Outlook, I have to go through the whole rigmarole again.

Some emails do not render any part of the body and all you are presented with is a "Read More" button. After opening a case with Microsoft, I was told that this is caused by email's large HTML headers. I believe the code can be improved by:
1. Make Read More feature user controlled. User should be able to toggle it on/off as desired.
2. The Outlook app code should handle "large headers" and just show the email body if it runs into large headers instead of just showing a read more button.
