⌘ M - “Move” email hardware keyboard shortcut
A “⌘ M” shortcut on hardware keyboards would greatly speed up inbox triage for iPad users with large numbers of mail folders.
Ideally, when this shortcut is used from the hardware keyboard, the keyboard focus / cursor would automatically be moved to the folder search field so that the user can just start typing the name of the desired folder without having to tap the screen to activate the search field / keyboard.

Ideally, this should work just like Outlook on the Mac.
Shift-Apple-M on the mac would take the currently selected messages, display the folder move window with the search field already in focus, and allow typing to search. Arrow keys would allow for selecting, and pressing enter would send them messages to that folder.
This would be so helpful. Its the only thing I miss from the native IOS mail app...please add this!

I love outlook on Mac, and one of my favourite features is the ability to move messages to folders by pressing “SHFT+CMD+M”.
What’s is really special about this feature (not available on Win) is that opens a dialog box that allows me to quickly type the first few letters of the folder, to find it, and then press “Enter” to move the message.
This workflow is extremely fast and convenient!
We’re all testing the waters with our iOS devices, in terms of productivity, especially with the new iPad Pro. If you can ensure consistency of workflow across devices (same shortcuts and same app behaviour when relevant), the overall UX across platforms will improve a lot, together with usage.
Thank you in advance,

I fully agree, and I cannot belief it has just a few votes yet.
MS should also automatically set an active cursor in the search field after sending ⌘M .. exactly like you are doing this on a Mac...

I really need the Move shortcut key too to be productive with iPad keyboard. Command-V or something like that would be relatively consistent with the Move shortcut in Outlook desktop and web.

When working on iPad, I tend to do as many tasks as I can with keyboard.
I would like to be able to switch from Priority inbox to other and back without leaving the keyboard.

Could you add a shortcut to one’s main Inbox folder from the Menu tab. Will save scrolling up and down from say sent items back to the Inbox

A hardware keyboard shortcut to quickly jump to another folder would be useful for iPad users with large numbers of mail folders.
In Outlook on the PC this shortcut is CTRL+Y, so I guess for consistency it would make sense to use ⌘ Y on the iPad (although ⌘ G might be more logical and easier to remember)
Unlike the PC equivalent, ideally this shortcut would bring up a folder list/search interface like the “Move” email function and the search field would be automatically selected so that the user can just start typing the name of the desired folder.
