Customise account icon
The new navigation pane doesn't allow customisation of the initials in the circle. With multiple accounts in outlook it's impossible to tell them apart.
Let users set a custom account avatar.

*****SOLUTION****
Go to Settings >Mail Accounts > DescriptionYou can change the description from the default (Your Email) to a specific name. I've used two words (Alpha Beta), and the icon now shows two letters (AB).

I have multiple emails under the same name, so when I switch between them I want to be able to know which one I switched to/am switching to. I am unable to see the exact email displayed anywhere on the screen.

I have 5 mailboxes in outlook and they all show the exact same initials. Impossible to distinguish between them. Please add icon customization, letters, colors and/or pictures.

As some have mentioned, you can change the letters by changing the description of the account. The color is based on the description, but it's pseudorandom. I managed to get the colors I wanted by adding a number at the end of each description and raising them until they gave me the colors I wanted.

I have two accounts that start with the same letter. I'd like to change the icons so that I can figure out which one is which better.

On outlook accounts my account photo does not show up. You have an over simplified algorithm that seems to be based on the description field for each account. However, because my name and emails begin with the same letter for all my accounts it is not much use having each account icon as the same letter ‘P’. A better way of differentiating accounts is required. Many thanks.

this is so obvious -cant belive it wasn't done already. The user needs to customise the icon per account 6 circles all saying the same initial DOES NOT work

I have various emails starting with the same letter, I get confused on which icons is for which emails. Being able to put pictures for different email accounts would help a lot

Solution:
Open Outlook settings by clicking on the Clog \ Under mail Accounts click the right hand(greater than) arrow. Edit the description by default it is the email address you connected. The first letter of whatever you put their will show. Any number will show as the pound sign. Letters A-Z are usable..
Note: you can not adjust the color.

Recently found an unexpected behaviour in Outlook for iOS App. When I added my first account, my avatar image showed fine but after adding a second account it does not show avatars anymore and only shows initials on both the accounts. It causes confusion and it will be really helpful if engineering team can include a fix for this in next update.

I have logged in with multiple emails: personal, company,... and it's not really easy to recognize which one I am using with the icon on the app header if they all use the "Gmail" icon (especially when the navigation bar is collapsed)

I have multiple email setup in the app. The app badges displays that i have a certain number of new unread email. I find it difficult to find which email contains the new unread email. I have to go through them all to find what i am looking for. If possible to have an indication next to different email which one contains the new mail

You can change your icon just from outlooks settings so you can change it to some thing else in your photos

I have 5 different email accounts for business/boards and most of them start with B so in the account screen they all have the same circle. It would be good if you could change the colour of the circles or better get set a picture for each account!!!

It would be great to be able to change the icons of each account. Currently I have 6 different (5 imap & 1 Hotmail) email accounts and they all have a icon which is a circle with two initials in it.
I would like to assign each account their individual logo so that it’s easier to navigate.

It would be helpful to be able to customize the icons or names for mail accounts to make switching between them easier and identify which is which.
