Customise account icon
The new navigation pane doesn't allow customisation of the initials in the circle. With multiple accounts in outlook it's impossible to tell them apart.
Let users set a custom account avatar.

I have multiple Gmail accounts, at least 2 start with the letter 'J'. Being able to assign either an icon, picture or at least more than 1 character to the current identifier would allow easier identification of each.
If you have more than one gmail, can we have a work, home, school icon (or similar) or even color coding to differentiate between accounts in inbox
It would be great if we could add custom logos for each email account. That would make it far easier to filter which email account we are looking at.

When you expand the list of accounts, only common services such as outlook.com have an icon, the rest just have the first letter of the name of the service. Add an option to select an icon from the photo library so it's easier to distinguish which account is which.
To rename your account
To be able to select the logo / icon for each email account to make it more user friendly
Pls, custom icons for all outlook app accounts.

It would be cool to change the icons for individual email mailboxes.
I have multiple accounts and would be great to able to distinguish between 2 Gmail accounts or 2 outlook accounts through different artwork/colors/etc.
On left navigation pane both of my configured mailboxes are of same red color ... can we change colors so that we identify mailboxes distinctly
I have multiple email accounts and would like to be able to distinguish them by changing the icons.
PLEASE!!!! HOW IS IT 2020 AND THIS STILL ISN'T A THING YET?? ITS A MUST HAVE FOR A MAIL APP!!

The UX is such a usability mess. Can't get multiple account state at a glance, and it's super useful to have my accounts displayed as "L" "L" "L" "P" "D" "P" like thanks navigation is a breeze. Can't quickly check them out without opening them one by one either.
No gesture to change accounts either, which could've been somewhat of a fix up to a certain number of accounts. You can even customize swipes, but actions are pretty limited.

It would be good to have the option of adding a company logo or displaying the account name/description on the account chooser in the left hand navigation. As it is, I have several accounts that just display the first letter of the description or the Office logo. Having multiple accounts that start with the same letter in the description makes it difficult to distinguish between accounts.
Agreed. This isn’t a fix, just a work around. It just need the ability to upload an image or just use the account image/icon you can add through your office 365 login (if it’s a MS365 account).
I have 12 email accounts (yikes!) and I can’t even tell the different between Hotmail, google or MS365. The only one that comes up with an icon is Yahoo and i have 2 of those.
I have to click on each one to see what they are. Can you please fix this.
***Another features request!***
Also.. ordering of the accounts would be helpful so at least you can put the most commonly used ones at the top!

I'm personally not very happy with this fix but at least it allows me to tell my accounts apart.
- Go into 'Settings': tap home icon in top left corner then cog on the bottom left of the screen
- Under 'Email Accounts' tap on an account
- Change the 'Description': the first letter of whatever you enter here will be used as the icon for this account
I have many email accounts I use through this app and I would love the ability to change the icons on the left side, some of them are the same, like if I’m using 2 gmails I have two gmail logos and it gets confusing which one. Please add in the ability to upload a photo instead (like my company logo, upload from photos)
Would make this app great. However, without it I shall try a different app - anyone recommend one? My Samsung tablet has a great email app, but I think it's Samsung only.

Seems like this issues has been around for a while. It should be an easy feature for MS to implement and would make managing multiple mailboxes so much easier.

Please, the ideal would be a custom image, but at least change the letter is essential. It cant be hard.
