Reply All is default in new version. Default to reply, not reply all in add message
The default in the replying to a message is Reply All. This default should be able to be changed, otherwise we are going to have a lot of people accidentally replying all to mass emails / the entire org when they only meant to respond to the original sender.
I’ve fallen foul of the default ‘intelligent’ reply-all too many times now.
It’s too easy to accidentally do a reply all when you just want to reply to the sender.
It would be good if this could be toggled on/off in settings.
The option to “reply” instead of “reply all” should be an option for the quick select button when viewing emails.
This default has caught me out many times, occasionally with great embarrassment. In what world does this make sense? It seems it is NOT the default on Android??? For the love of god, would you please change this?
I hope microsoft hires me when i get fired for an inappropriate "reply all" response!

It irritates considerably that reply-all is the default when typing a quick reply. It’s unnecessary.
Change email to default to reply rather than reply all

why is this still an issue we are dealing with in 2019?
get your **** together.
Please make the default option reply and not reply all.
You can do it on the web version but not the mobile app

Just adding my voice to the MANY who have been a victim of this cruel joke Microsoft is playing on all of us.
Could you make the default Reply rather than Reply To All? (Or offer choice in settings)
Urgh! I have accidentally replied all to THREE school wide emails now because the bloody default is REPLY ALL in the mobile app and I can’t actually see who the email has been sent to originally clearly. PLEASE change this or tell me how to change this setting? I’ve tried to find a setting in the outlook app to no avail.
Disgruntled EQ Employee.
Terrible this cannot be changed. Should be reply not reply all
Can you change the default option for replying? Our users would prefer to reply to the sender instead of the reply all. It’s a hassle to change that every time.

My current signature reads: "Sent from my phone. If it "replied all", blame it on the Outlook Mobile App."
It sucks that you can’t change the default from “Reply All” to “Reply”! I keep accidentally responding to my
principal’s school-wide messages but sending it to the whole school!

Please change the default reply option ion the Outloo for ios APp from "Reply to all" to "Reply"
Please change the default option when replying to a message in the outlook phone apps to just Reply instead of Reply All!
For the love of God, PLEASE fix this. "Reply All" is considered a "Worst Practice" in email etiquette. In fact, I KNOW this is exactly what Microsoft employees are taught as well (I used to be one). It should absolutely be the case that Reply All should be managed as the exception to email replies. Further, just like Outlook, it should pop a warning if, when you select Reply All, that you are told if it will go to a lot of recipients.
This is such a no-brainer.
This happened at my university. A single email was sent out to every contact in the school and it spiraled out of control. Everyone’s inbox was bombarded with thousands of junk messages because the sender did not use bcc and unknowing recipients used reply all when responding to the original message. This is a legitimate issue. It went on for hours with people ‘replying all’ just to tell other recipients to stop replying all. It sounds comical, but this practically brought campus operations to a halt and caused people to lose important messages in the onslaught of junk. Eventually IT had to shut it down.
My suggestion is for the Outlook app. Users should have the ability to change the default “Reply All” to “Reply.” I know the user can manually change it before sending an email. My suggestion is to allow the user to set the default to “Reply” once so they do not have to change it manually each time. If a person truly intends to “Reply All” they should have to select that option before sending. Thank you
