Allow collapsing of folders in Move to Folder
I have a lot of email folders. When I move an email to folder, I have to scroll through a lot of folders to find the correct destination. It would be great if I could collapse all or expand all folders that I want to look at. Also a type-in feature to find a folder by name would be equally useful!
I have to scroll thru my full list of sub folders (I.e. 2019 sub category folders) befor I get to my 2020 folders).
Should be able to collapse
Does anyone have an email solution for expand/collapse folders for iOS? I'm not finding one? I don't think it's a Microsoft/Outlook issue. I think Apple is holding out.
The ability to collapse and expand the folder structure when scrolling through, both when looking for a folder and when selecting a folder to move an email to.

I pay a hefty monthly fee for Office 365 and am extremely annoyed to still be frustrated by the failure to enable the collapsing of folders on the mobile version. If only we could get a really effective alternative to MS, I would go for it like a shot! I am sure millions would agree.
Agreed, with users having hundreds of folders to manage email, this oversight (the inability to expand and collapse folders in the outlook iOS and android app) is unbelievable, especially since similar functionality exists in outlook online, outlook mail and explorer.
with hundreds of folders and subfolders, it's pretty sad that we dont have a way to collapse folders to make it easier to find.
Yes agree. I have many folders and sub-folders and have to scroll through the Long list before I’m able to find the right one.
Me too. Would like collapsible folders.

Would make navigation to folders so much more user friendly and easier. Very difficult to use with complex hierarchies.

Really need this feature when you have hundreds of sub-folders and hierarchies. For reference Samsung mail through MobileIron has been supporting this feature for a while. Moving to apple or any other android phone makes it impossible for me to use work email

Very basic need should be addressed in late updates
You already own us; let us at least enjoy the ride.
You would think this would be one of the most important features in the development of the mobile app. Please put some resources toward fixing this.
Most other email providers have figured out how to do this. Why can’t Apple?
Please add the option to be able to collapse sub folders or link folder hierarchies together. My work follow is less conducive to using search folders and I always have the same 5 sub folders with every file. When using the app I have to search which only brings up the main folder not the hierarchy of related folders which is where I often move documents to. Scrolling through hundreds if not thousands of folders looking for one folder called general notices is onerous at best. Please fix this app and outlook in general and add this capability. Thank you for your time.
PS: Thank you for the flexible/customizable quick tools bar and menus.

This would be an immensely helpful feature, and quite frankly I'm not sure why this wasn't added in the first place as it should be very basic and bare-bones functionality. I have at least 75 different folders/subfolders to keep my work, as a student in my classes, job, and student organizations, organized, and it's extremely inconvenient to not be able to reorder or hide some folders.
It's also frustrating that emails routed to these subfolders do not appear with a notification, so it is up to me on the mobile app to manually check all my folders.
The idea is to be able to display or hide outlook folder (and sub folders). That can be very helpful to navigate easily if a number of folder and sub folder are created.
Would be helpful if we could collapse and expand folders and sub folders.

Another year ticks over - another year without this comment being actioned. Lots of trivial stuff being "fixed" - major problems too hard
This is my number one complaint with mobile Outlook.
Being able to collapse the mail folders in the mobile app like you can in the desktop Outlook would be such a MAJOR time saver.
On my desktop outlook, I have over well over a hundred mailboxes. They are all neatly setup under a master category mailbox. All the “real” mailboxes are sub folders under each master. This works great on the desktop, but It is daunting to have to scroll through “every single mailbox” on my phone where I need the speed the most.
This one issue makes me not enjoy using mobile Outlook. Not being able to collapse the mail folders makes me not like having to have my work email on my phone.
