Read more as an option
Please make the "read more" feature an option, not mandatory!

Please remove or make optional the need for a Read More button for long emails. It's very frustrating to have to tap that button and then start from the top of the email. Thanks.

I notice that long emails in my inbox are now truncated and I have to click the read more button to view the full email and then find where I was up to in the email. I'd like a way to turn off the read more button and just have it show the full contents of the email like it used to

Just show the email in full. Don't hide the full content behind Read More.

This recently added feature is ridiculous. It prevents easily reading email messages and adds additional steps to reread a mail that was read before the read more control was encountered and doesn't permit deleting or replying/forwarding the email when it's been read without closing the full email view and returning to the original truncated view.
Please remove it or allow the feature to be turned off. -

I found now Outlook does not show entire mail and users need to press 'read more' button to read ahead.
I had thought showing entire mail is a pros of outlook than Gmail. And reloading after pushing 'read more' is annoying.Would you please consider adding option to select the previous behavior (showing entire mail) and the current?

Totally agree with John Talbot. A ridiculous idea. Please remove this "feature"

As of version 2.5.5 a "feature" has been added to Outlook that prevents displaying longer emails from a GMail account. Instead, at the end of the display of that email, a "Read more" control is displayed. Selecting that control opens the email in a new window but returns the position to the top of the email.
A feature is required to enable the user to either:
A) Turn off "Read more" entirely and display all of the email; or
B) When "Read more" is selected either continue reading the rest of the email in the current window or display the full email in the new window positioned at the point where the reader was situated prior to selecting the "Read more" control.
I hate this "feature". Please remove it and I'd be a lot happier. -

I see that when I'm replying to a message I have to tap the "load entire message". It would be nice to have an option where it's automatically loaded without us having to tap that button.

It was a terrible idea to add the READ MORE feature to the bottom of emails in the preview pane. I scroll all the way through a lengthy message, then have to click READMORE to get the rest of it, and have to scroll all the way through the same message again!!! Stupid and frustrating! And the wind for scrolling has no controls -- I can't delete, reply of anything to the message. Stupid idea and completely useless.
Perhaps a "Read Full Screen" option AT THE TOP OF THE MESSAGE would be useful for those that want it... but to force long messages into only being readable in a very stupid way is .... stupid.
