Compose email button on every screen
Currently you can only compose an email from the inbox. It would be great to be able to compose a message when looking at your calendar or while in a message (not a reply or forward)
On iPhone, the compose button now hovering over the message list is a change for the worse for me. It is positioned exactly where I want to swipe to read through my email list. Now I have to reach higher (awkward) or further left (blocking the screen, which the button also does). Please move the button back where it was at the top, or into the lower bar if it must be at the bottom. I rarely use the compose button at all on iPhone, 99% of my usage there is reading and quick replies.
Commands to start new mails and so on should be in the lower horizontal navigation bar other than on the top
Provide a more rich composing experiencing to include more desktop and web like capabilities, such as inserting lists, text formatting, tables, etc.
Like the Gmail app

When composing a reply email and I want to see what I have written, I scroll up and my newly written message disappears and I can only see the message I’m replying to .. my message is in the writing area of the message I’m writing and I have to continue to open it up to continue writing my email - very very annoying!!
You should be able to minimize an email that is being composed and browse your inbox without having to save it to a draft. Apples native app let’s you minimize the the active new message window to browse the inbox. Very useful!

I’m a huge Microsoft Office fan for many years. Great updates recently to Outlook for iOS but ... putting the compose email button at the top of the screen is in the wrong place for the thumb. It’s too high to reach comfortably and regularly.
That one thing is the biggest reason iI still use the iPhone default email app.
Put “compose email” at the bottom where it belongs.
Good luck continually working on it! I’m rooting for you!

I wish there was an easier way to view my calendar while composing an email. I don’t mean to share availability, but to be able to check the calendar without exiting/backing out from the message, and then to be able to switch back to the email.
Sometimes I’m typing an email, and forget something so I need an option to minimize the email I’m typing at and get the info from another one then get back to it.
It would be nice to have a possibility to open calendar while composing email. Sometimes you are planning while typing and the only option is to switch to another calendar app.
You know what’s not cool, clicking top right to compose a message or hit send on a beautifully crafted email only to have iOS pop up an incoming email notification and prevent you from sending. Button placement life. I realize nothing will be done about this, have a Friday afternoon laugh as this literally happened to me 4 times in a row as I was receiving notifications for a server outage, while trying to inform our help desk. IT life.
Move delete, archive, move etc functions so that they are at the bottom of the screen where the reply option is.
When compose new email, can minimize the window to look at old emails.
IOS MAIL have this function.

Portions of message get covered up when typing a message. When replying or forwarding a message, original content his hidden.

I can’t see how to compose an email. I can search and reply, but not compose a new email

Should add in several functions below:
1. Quickly select attach pictures as file or direct layout within the email
2. One click attaching files from all other hosts / clouds / destination. Make it as convenient as attaching an Onedrive file
3. Insert table
4. Bullets & Numbers
5. Auto create links as finishing typing http://... .com
6. Text formatting. At least size, colors, type, fonts
This current feature does not work 25% of the time. Keep it like the native client. Same with editing recipients.
Much like iOS Mail, allow an email to be “minimized” to reference another email while composing.

Over the last couple of months I have found that if I try and scroll an email back up to review it, I have to fight the scroll to see the content. This happens on very quick emails too so can be extremely frustrating while trying to get an email out.
