When suggesting a rule for non focused inbox allow rule by listserv
I subscribe to many listserv lists - many show up in my focus inbox. When I use the feature to move messages to non focused, it sometimes asks to create a rule based on sender - I want it to ask me to move based on being from a list

Right click on the email from the group and click "Always move to Other"

Some emails land in Focused inbox that i would like to send to “other”. I still want to see them I just don’t need to see them right away.
It would be great if I could set a preference on these types of emails so I do not get notifications for them.

Hi there. As I’ve notice in your app you can control the setting to have a focused inbox specifically which will have the ‘other’ tab next to it. I personally have three accounts connected to this app and I would like to be able to choose that setting for each email address instead of it just being one setting for all the emails connected to the app. It would be of great help to me and I’m sure to others.

My focussed inbox used to be the best thing about the outlook app but now it is just including nearly every email I get and the constant notifications are annoying.

As an user, I want to put or apply rules to isolate focussed and non focused items.

Important emails are disappearing, and it’s confusing.

I have begun to receive messages sent to a list to my Focused inbox, but I can only change Focused / Other rules for the individual sender.
Please allow me to filter out the whole mailing list so any message sent including it as a recipient is Other, while I don’t risk losing personal messages from individual senders.
Honestly the Focused inbox is not very "smart." I think it's pretty much just basing it's features off the "From" line. I wish there were more analytics put in - like it doesn't seem to recognize when an email is sent to me vs. to a group. I use it consistently in the hopes that it will get better, but right now it's nowhere near as good as Google/Gmail's focus inbox analytics.

The focused inbox is making me miss certain important emails!! Not for a COMPUTER to decide what emails I see first or not.

It would be great if outlook allowed to easily customize the focused inbox

Legit all emails are “featured” emails and come up as a notification. I get hundreds of emails a day, 90% are not featured for my personal inbox

At present, you can’t take an email that’s been flagged as clutter/other and move it to Focused. I wish I could do that on the phone.
BTW, someone from the outlook mobile team deleted this suggestion previously saying that this is already possible in the current version of the app. It is NOT. I do not mean that I want to turn off the Focused Inbox feature. Focused Inbox is *awesome*. But sometimes it flags messages incorrectly. I want the ability to take a message and move it to Focused and vice versa just like I can with Outlook for Desktop and the o365 web interface.

I wish I could move an email from Clutter to Focused when I’m on iOS.
Junk mail, unsolicited mail or emails from a company you never subscribed from, should automatically show up in the “other” mailbox. Items that pop up in the Focused Inbox, that aren’t pertinent to you, should be more easily managed.

The Focussed emails section is a great feature, however it seems the rules are a bit rigid.
It would make sense to have the rules upgrade any email that is replied to so that the Focussed inbox includes not only previously replied-to replies, but also the replied to emails themselves.
Shouldn’t be hard to do - just an oversight I would say! Will make a huge difference though, I am sure.

I notice that now my emails from the schools D2L service is being routed to the “other” part of my inbox when it should be going to focused. There isn’t any way to change it and quite frankly that irks me.

Sometimes I get really annoying messages in my focused inbox, such as receiving meeting notifications on behalf of another account. I just want to shove all such messages into the ‘other’ inbox. If that can be more rule based while still being easy to do and intelligent, that would be ideal.

The baseline algorithms for assigning emails to Focused and Other are pretty good, but the ability to customize it, as exists in the desktop client, is needed here for those who are in both platforms, extensively.
