[BUG] App becomes "read-only" after adding outlook.com account
I have a problem making the app totally useless. I've been talking with the in-app support for more than a month now, and up until now nobody could help me. So, why not talk directly with the developers. Here I go.
The problem goes many months ago (before the Sunrise team changing the interface). I was a happy user, managing three accounts (Outlook.com, Gmail and an Exchange work account) with no problems.
One day, out of nothing, the app became "read-only". I don't know a better term to describe it. I receive emails, I can view emails, but I'm unable to do anything with the email. I can't delete it, I can't move it, and it's not marked as read when I read it (the blue circle never disappears). If I try to remove the account, the app freezes (it displays an eternal spinning wheel. I left it spinning for many time, until the app finally crashes).
I just gave up for some time. I uninstalled the app. Every time you release a new update, I install it again to see if it's fixed, but nothing.
The support team said this is a KNOWN ISSUE. This is odd. It's been months, you rewrote the app, and a KNOWN ISSUE never got fixed?
After some investigation, It seens the problem is with my outlook.com account.
- I added my Gmail account. Eveything is OK.
- I added my Outlook.com account. Sometimes it works for a few minutes, but then everything stops working (Gmail included). Most times it do not work right away.
- I remove my Outlook.com account (I try to remove it from all devices, the spinning wheel I mentioned appears, then I kill the app, open it again, and the spinning wheel appears again, but this time the account gets removed). Gmail starts working again.
Hope someone can help me with this known issue. The support team couldn't.
