Ability to enable or disable accounts
I have few exchange server accounts that are sometimes unreachable (probably during maintenance) and during this time I keep getting popup request to set the password. What I would really like is to disable this account until the servers are reachable so that i can at least continue working with other email accounts. Because of this popup i cannot work with other accounts until the connectivity is fixed. This feature is also useful when i am outside the country and when data is expensive. I could disable the accounts that are not important and only download emails for accounts that I really care about.

Please enable a switch to temporarily disable a mail account (e.g. work account while on leave)
In the default Apple IOS email program you can enable and disable email accounts without deleting them. This would be a nice option to have.

I'd love to be able to turn off an email account with a swipe and turn it back on when needed, eg turn off work email for the weekend or when on holiday, so as not to be disturbed or tempted to check it. Currently it's only possible if I remove the entire account. Many thanks, Andras

Hotmail occasionally has issues with the spam filters. Rather than deleting the account I would prefer to toggle it off for a few days until they resolve their spam issues.

Would be great to have a vacation mode where you are able to hide an account altogether or perhaps just not see the count of unread messages for that account on the icon and in the app navigator. Only way to do this now is to delete it all together which makes it a process if want to peak at it.

I have several account setup in Outlook (iOS).
When an account has difficulty connecting to its server, it litterally blocks ALL other actions.
We MUST either make it connect (it's often out of our control, since it could be a network or server-side issue) or delete the account.
I think this makes no sense.
We should be able to use other features and accounts.
When the connection comes back, then the faulty account would simply sync back, and everything is good.
Hope you consider this tweak.
I personnaly find it pretty aniying, and a big usability problem (although it only happens to me once in a while, for a limited time. But it do happen)

I have numerous personal and work email accounts set up in Outlook. When I'm on vacation, I don't want to be getting work emails in my inbox! Id like the option to be able to disable an account to prevent emails / appointments.
Need the ability to disable mail temporarily. Every mail app I've ever used has this ability except outlook. When I'm on vacation I'd like to disable email for work so I don't get work notifications, right now the only way is to delete the work account completely which is a pain.

I would like the ability to selectively turn off an account, but not delete it to stop seeing work emails, calendar invites etc from my unified 'All Accounts' box. Right now the only way I see to do that is to delete the account and add it back later.

Can you add the ability to "disable" an account?
Two very good reasons:
1) Temporary turn off of disabled account or one with infrastructure problems, allowing you to get back to your other email accounts.
2) Prevent having to set an account up from scratch if you just have password problems and can't immediately resolve the issue.
Right now I have a password that needs resetting- I can't get to the helpdesk to reset, and I can't get to any of my other email until I DELETE the offending account. Dumb, dumb , dumb design. Even the iPhone has the ability to "disable" account without fully nuking it.

Hello, please kindly add in a feature to disable email accounts temperaily, this is especially useful when travelling overseas and saving data network usage as well as battery.
For example i had 4 email accounts using daily, when travelling or sometimes, will like to disable 2 of them to save battey life and data network usage and keep another 2 as they are more important for me.
When back to normal daily life, able to turn on back those previously disabled email accounts.

Also hit this. Who thought that a modal UI was a good idea here? MUST FIX.
I would like to have the ability to disable/enable email accounts. For instance, if you go on vacation, temporarily disable your work account without having to delete it like I just did. This is a feature that is standard in the iphone email app.

Outlook should provide a feature which allows users to enable disable an account without actually deleting it from the app.
Hi, I run 4 mail accounts on my app and it would be great if you can temporarily suspend/pause one or more. For instance your work account during a holiday. Bye, Jarno

It will great & helpful if a option is provided againt each added account to temporary disable it.
E.g - User has logged into 3 accounts say A, B, C. For some reason user currently dont wish to view or receive emails from account B. He should be simply able to disable this account using toggle switch provided againts each account without actually logging out of the account.
This feature is currently provided as a default feature in iOS native "Mail" app

I have multiple accounts; I'd like to be able to hide my work email during hit weekend, but continue to see a unified inbox 'All mail' view for the remaining email accounts. Right now, I think I'd have to view one account at a time, or remove my work email account for the weekend.

Yep, would be great to be able to disable accounts without deleting them. I have many accounts I check infrequently or for special purposes. Deleting and readding is annoying.

I would love to be able to turn off email accounts and turn them back on without having to delete them from the app. When I go on vacation I don't want my work email account visible and cluttering up my All Inboxes view, so I just want to disable it for a while.
