Ability to enable or disable accounts
I have few exchange server accounts that are sometimes unreachable (probably during maintenance) and during this time I keep getting popup request to set the password. What I would really like is to disable this account until the servers are reachable so that i can at least continue working with other email accounts. Because of this popup i cannot work with other accounts until the connectivity is fixed. This feature is also useful when i am outside the country and when data is expensive. I could disable the accounts that are not important and only download emails for accounts that I really care about.
i asked a few years ago, to have the ability to turn off/on an account, without deleting it..
Please add a feature that would allow me to turn off or deactivate the sync function so I can disable incoming emails and updates. This should essentially stop all data flow. Ideally the feature would be setup for manual toggling and for scheduled deactivation and reactivation.

The app really needs the ability to turn off and on accounts.
Currently when people have two accounts on this app, such as a personal Yahoo account and a work Exchange account, and they go on vacation and don't want to see anything related to their work account, they have to Delete the account from the app because there isn't any way to just turn off notifications from one account.
Example I get all emails and calendars pop up on my lock screen but on vacation I want to disable the work related notifications and still get my Yahoo emails pop up. Since there's no toggle button to turn off individual accounts, I then need to completely delete the work account and then set it all back up again afterwards. This is a real pain. The Apple mail app has this functionality on each account to toggle the button off and on.
Please add this to your next update soon!!

I am on vacation and don't want receive push notifications for my work email, but I do want to receive them for my personal email. Both are loaded in the outlook app.
It would be nice if I could toggle off or suspend a mailbox without having to fully remove or delete it.

This just occurred to me. In my role as a Human Resource manager (I'm the CFO of our company), I just amended our employee manual to strongly urge our employees to unplug from work when on vacation.
In fact, I just had my annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas myself with a few friends and I took the opportunity to unplug.
Unfortunately I found no easy way to suspend my work email while on my vacation. Instead I had to remove the account entirely, and then when I returned I had to re-add it. Not the end of the world but definitely an inconvenience, particularly since I have two iPads and an iPhone.
It would be nice to suspend my work account even for an afternoon off. But since it's sort of a pain to do I don't.
Please note that in Apple mail it is quite effortless to do this in settings.
Anyway, just a feature suggestion.
Thanks for such an easy way to share my issues and ideas.
First off Outlook is the best email app out there. I have a number of email accounts on outlook that check for new emails on my iPhone. This checking all accounts Gobbles up my battery power so I was wondering if a feature could be added whereby you select mail accounts that you do not want checking for new mail or otherwise suspend the account while toggled. Right now the only way to do this is to delete an account. Thanks for your consideration.
the possibility of individually turning email accounts on or off
I organize events in separate mailboxes and once that event is done, I usually delete the mailbox completely. This does not seem possible using the iOS app.

As Scott said in a previous suggestion, please add the option of turning off my account (not deleting it) like I can do it on my computer. That would be a lot more secure!!
I currently use iPad for 365 email account for work. The apple mail app allows me to turn off hotmail personal email but 365 doesn't. Is there a way to put 365 email on hold for holiday time so I can use my iPad while on holiday so I am not disturbed.
Maybe it's already in there but I just can't find it.
After adding an account to outlook app, currently there is only option delete the account from the device. Another option to enable or disable could be really helpful. Sometimes users may just want to keep the account but not access it for any reason
I would like to suggest a feature to switch outlook sync of mails on or off. Currently when you dont want to receive mails(leave etc) the account must be deleted and then redone in future.
Would be great to just switch on or off sync of emails

Please add the ability to take an account offline but without deleting it, like one can do in the desktop app

I want to be able to not see emails in one account for some period of time. Like being able to disconnect the app from the mail server using a switch. Go to settings and toggle a switch to temp disconnect the app from the server on one or more email accounts.

Go to setting
Throw switch to suspend receipt of emails on one or more accounts monitored by this program
Meant to be a temporary switch used when away from ability to respond to requests
If you forget a password for an email account or an email account can't be accessed for what ever reason e.g down you are only given two options
I would like a third option to skip this screen or disable an email account until you are in a convenient place. At the moment you are forced to remove account then have to readd connection details manually. This is a problem as you can't see other email accounts until you complete this process.

Some kind of option to 'turn off' accounts individually (for example turn off work accounts while on holidays so you don't have to fully remove it).

Outlook offers the ability to compile mail / calendars. Many people use outlook for their work mail, and want to overlay their personal calendars without HAVING to combine personal email to the inbox.
Please add a feature like on iOS where you can opt out of adding mail and just add the calendar of a particular account.

Hello. It would be really great if we were able to turn off an email account if desired. For example, I do not want to see my work email on the weekend so it would be helpful if I could just turn it off on Friday night and then turn it back on Monday morning without having to delete the account and then adding it again.
