Expand iPad Keyboard Shortcut Support
Please expand keyboard support on iPads, this will make the app much easier to use on the iPad Pro
Cmd-S to search for mail
Delete key to delete messages
Currently, when a message is open, Cmd + A archives the message. It’s great that there’s a keyboard shortcut for this, but Cmd +A has been ‘select all’ on the Mac (and now iOS) since the 1980s. I find myself accidentally archiving messages all the time when trying to select and then copy text.
This very minor gripe aside, thanks for a terrific app!

iPad with magic keyboard is a perfect match for outlook web except the performance. Outlook apps performance is much much better except that it is not supporting the fullset shortcut key usage like web version.
For those of us who use keyboards on the iPad - Command A’s behaviour is “Select All” in almost every app, but Outlook’s behaviour is to Archive Emails - which is confusing and against the default for the iPad. Do you mind thinking about another keyboard shortcut?
Allow text shortcuts like instead of typing “the red fox jumped”, one can type “rfj” and the whole previous sentence in quotes pops up

Integration with Apple shortcuts would be extremely useful. It would allow me and many other users to quickly organise my information obtained from outlook. As I work mostly from my phone this would be the best feature you could add for me.
Would also love this to be a setting, like “E” for archive, “J” for last email “K” for next on the iPad and Mac app. Superhuman does a great job at this.
When I have items selected during multi-select, I would like various keyboard shortcuts to be applied to the batch of items rather than the first item that was select. This also would resolve an issue where the UI can get into a weird state during multi-select if you use a keyboard shortcut, steps below to reproduce that bug.
1. Enter multi-select mode
2. Select multiple emails
3. Press the delete key on an external keyboard
4. Observe the toolbar in the left panel
All selected emails are deleted and multi-select mode is exited.
The first email from the set is deleted, the app remains in multi-select mode, and the multi-select mode toolbar switches to the non-multi-select mode toolbar.
Many of us would like to be “all in” on the Outlook ecosystem but, the keyboard shortcuts on macOS and iOS are different. This is infuriating.
I just got a smart keyboard for my iPad pro, and I was looking through the shortcuts, and it says that to close a message, you have to hit escape.
This keyboard (unfortunately…) doesn’t have an escape key.
It would be nice if there was an alternate shortcut that could be set so that the functionality is the same, regardless of the keyboard being used.

Switching between Focused and Other inboxes. Selecting mail using arrow keys should work consistently everywhere. Those are my two biggest missing ones.

It would be useful to have move keyboard shortcuts to take actions on email. For example, shortcuts that map to the swipe actions, moving into folders, archiving, etc.
Almost a MUST!
It would be nice to be able to select a message, then hit a key, maybe the shift key, and then select a message further down the list to highlight (or select) all the messages in between.
It would be helpful.
More keyboard shortcuts would be a great productivity boost. Appreciate those that are there, but more would be even better!
There is currently no way to exit an email using keyboard commands when using the IPad Pro Apple keyboard. If you hold the command button, it says to press the Escape key but the keyboard doesn’t have an escape key
I use an iPad Pro with a keyboard. Other apps, in particular, AirMail, make extensive use of customisable keyboard shortcuts to quickly action email. For example, I use the ‘delete’ key to move mail to archive and ‘Cmd’+’delete’ to actually delete the email - it is so much faster than swiping to move and selecting folders, or tapping on an archive icon. Using a keyboard allows me to power through my emails in half the time (seriously!). I also use the space bar if I want to reply. Take a look at AirMail - fairly straight forward. If you want to go one step beyond AirMail, sync the keyboard shortcuts between iOS/iPadOS devices - right now I have to go into each copy of AirMail across my Apple devices and set up the keyboard shortcuts for each one - clearly I want a consistent user experience so I want them all set up the same - this aspect of AirMail is painful.
When I type @james or whatever, I need to touch the screen to confirm tagging. Please use enter from the physical keyboard to conform @ tag.

Using iPad Pro with keyboard, ability to us the space key to toggle the email as opposed to using the pencil
I use the google keyboard and there is no autocorrect.
I’m visually impaired and I would like keyboard shortcuts like alt s to send emails.
