So far the only way I've found to do this is to create a Power Automate flow for each folder that I want push notifications for. This method is overly complicated and doesn't work consistently.

for the god sake enable the auto sync and notifications on sub folders. 3rd party apps are way too much better than this trash.

Outlook Mobile App, currently does not support Inbox subfolder Notifications. hence, feature to be added to enable end userd to activate any specific subfolder Notifications.

Many power users heavily rely on folders and rules to manage our email, specially when we receive too much mail that we have to keep and access as reference . Folder features available in many other email clients like per folder notification settings and consolidated folder views are important to us and make our lives much easier.

We receive 1000+ emails a day and I have them setup by rule to go to subfolders. I only want some subfolders to give me a notification and not others. My company is only allowing us to use Outlook App and not allowing us to use third party apps any longer. We really need this capability so that we don't have to listen to 1000+ notifications for unimportant emails each day.

I have a filter setup so emails to my department go to a custom folder. The issue is that there is no way to notify me when an email arrives. I have to check the folder for emails.

When there are multiple folders (defined by rules). If a incoming emails goes into folder A, we need a notification saying "there's a new email in folder A". At the same time, if there's another incoming email, which entered into folder B. We do not need a notification for that.
Notifications should be specific to folders and have ability to turn on and off, as well.
please enable this option
it is so useful

Notification Alert for all emails including subfolders
Michael Bruns commented
Every other mail client (including Outlook for Windows) has the ability to set individual notifications on folders and subfolders. As a network admin, I am bombarded with automated alert emails that I filter out of my inbox out of necessity. These messages would clutter my inbox and slow searching even further than it already is, so they have their own dedicated folder. I need to know when something goes down, and Outlook for Android doesn't offer this capability for some reason.

I miss emails CONSTANTLY because I don't get any notifications for new emails that are in folders.

working with dozens of clients makes it a giant paid when you only get notifications from the ones that you haven't sorted into an inbox. this feature would give the business aspect side of things that deal with clients that send emails regularly and you don't want them all in your regular inbox for the mind to know when that email actually came in.

I have already created many folders and rules . But when I receive a new mail in folders I am not notified. So that mail would go unnoticed. so need notification for new mails in folders as well.

Push notifications for subfolder mails
Mayank Zadoo commented
currently the mail notifications are playing only for the mail's in the inbox. I have created a rule to auto route some important emails and funny thing is notifications on my android device play only for the inbox (which is obviously not as important) and no notifications for that particular folder mails. I see that this has been reported as far back as in 2017 and Microsoft still hasn't resolved this issue.
