Having to expand the folder view in Windows mail app is inefficient when you have a large mailbox with many folders. Being able to pin the folder view in the left navigation window would make folder navigation less cumbersome. Add to favourites is not a viable solution.

Add the ability to pin individual folders to desktop (as widgets maybe?) Just like you could pin folders to the Start Screen on Windows 10 phone. This work awesome with the "Launcher 10" launcher.

this was there in Windows phone app, we should have that feature here as well.

in Windows 10 mail and outlook for Windows mobile, I can pin individual mail folders to my start screen. This is useful for tracking new incoming mail sorted into folders according to rules. For example, incoming payment alerts from PayPal, venmo, my bank or other sources go into a folder, and that folder displays a badge count when new items arrive. On Windows, that's easy to track thanks to pinned mail folders. I can know at a glance if I received something important. In outlook for Android and ios, it's impossible at present to know if these kinds of mails have arrived without opening the app and manually drilling down to the specific folder.

Would be great to link accounts together. Could you also add the possibility to pin the different accounts and the calender to the main screen? I need to have this option as I'm exclusively working with Microsoft. Needed to switch from Windows Phone to Android and I would like to have the same features as I had on my Windows phone.

I have a few rules set up to organise inbox but the app makes it hard to find those folders easily

I have filters that move email to certain folders; I want to be able to see at a glance, whether these folders have received a new email.
Notifications do not include these filtered emails.
Hence, I am not aware when an email comes in. This is a real world problem.
However, if the folders were pinned (in a more convenient place with the number of new items highlighted), I would not have to "remember" to check folders for new items every so often.
Please this is a real world problem that requires a real fix.
This ability is present in Outlook Desktop (and in Windows Phone you can pin the folder to the start menu)
You do not need to spend time fixing notifications; simply pin the folders please.

Allow users to pin our own email folders we have created to the left pull-out instead of just the standards (inbox, etc.).

In the desktop version, you can "pin" important emails to the top of the inbox
