I would much rather my email all be purple or teal or something instead of blue. I love being able to personalize my apps.

I would love to be able to select a background for emails I send. Like flowers and other themes.

Is hard to noticed which messages are unread or not. Maybe the bold more heavy or an icon or something. I need to use a different app until this get fixed.

The user interface of the inbox should be similar to the one used on the website (or on Windows Phone). The usless "initials" of the sender should be removed to leave more space to the info (sender/subject/content). The format used to differentiate this information is not convincing at all, it is really ugly and confusing.
Please also simplify acces to folders - simple swipe left should be fine. Now it has no sense at all.

White background with light gray text is nearly useless under less than ideal lighting conditions! Mobile devices are used under a wide variety of lighting conditions.
