Including a Dark Theme.

Hey everyone,
Dark theme is now fully rolled out on Outlook version 4.0 and higher! You can turn on Dark Theme by going to App Settings under Preferences. You will need to restart your app in order to see the setting. Thank you for your feedback and for voting on this feature.
All the best

PS: Please use the Help Section of the app for any questions, we are not able to see replies to this address.

I just like to see different colors sometimes b/c I get bored with the mundane and the monotony.

My suggestion is specifically about widgets on android. They do not support a dark theme.

Widgets do not support dark mode in the outlook app. Dark mode is superior to light mode in every situation, in my opinion.

The Dark Theme is great, only the the touch screen buttons (instead of hardware) background is white (can be set in the app's code) on my OnePlus 5T

On Android when using the black theme the loading screen when launching the app is white. Please have it be black so it doesn't look like I'm opening the flashlight for a few seconds when launching the app.

difference. When opening the mail was white. In general my windows phone is still better the this android thing by the way. Add a function here you can send a screenshot. Also hard to reach you for this kind of ideas. Regards Robert.

The mail and calendar functions should be separated into two apps as on the Lumia 950 XL. This current setup with all in one app makes one use the Google calendar instead.

Because sometimes emails contain bar codes that need to be scanned as-is, AND sometimes the contrast in dark mode isn't enough to read parts of email bodies, e.g. logos (separate but related problems), please make it easy to switch light mode on temporarily when reading a specific email.
I'd expect to be able to do this quickly from the ... menu on a message. I think I'd prefer it remember this preference for that email message until I switch it back, e.g. so that I can return to an email to rescan it without having to flip the lights on again, but it should be on a message by message basis, or perhaps by sender.
I would also not mind it if there was just a mode where email bodies are always light, while the rest of the app (the list of emails in a folder, calendars) remains dark. I would probably use that rather than having to occasionally switch lights on for individual emails, because for longer text I also sort of prefer light mode, while dark suits me better otherwise.
