Provide setting option to modify active accounts
The thing is that one is forced to provide login and password for SMTP server when manually setting IMAP account and some mail servers do not require this authentication (they use SMTP after IMAP method of authenticiation) and even block sending e-mails when client tries to authenticate this way.

I like my phone the way I have set it. Why should I have to renegotiate it every time you deem an update to be better? I SHOULD have the option of change.
Why for a well established email client to be so partially developed on IMAP settings to work on the biggest selling platform (Android) for electronic device that it competes in? Can't access the Contacts details of the email server then can't even allow the user to edit the suggested People details from history of use when the associations are wrong.
This is an important feature. Usability suffers without this simply showing the user how it is configured.
IMAP do not work on my new Handy S10e ( only pop3 ).
The provider is web.de and he offers normaly IMAP for Outlook
Thank's a lot,

App was working fine and then after an update could no longer send email. As I can't adjust the outgoing mail server settings, I have to delete my account and add it all over again

This option was removed and now when my users change their password they have to add the exchange server domain/username again.
I'm sure I used to be able to look in the options and see my server information. I would check it often for setting up other employees email. That function appears to be gone now.

How about showing the account settings on the account setting tab. I needed to setup another email account with the same domain as another one I have but the settings do not have any server info etc. Just the account name.

Microsoft is really dumb for not allowing editing of settings. blowing away the whole account and having to completely reload it shows Microsoft's lack of any understanding for users, and is a reason outlook on Android is broken.
My web host has changed Port number requirements. I currently need to delete the account an re-add it. Bonkers!

We need to start over from zero in the account wizard to make any change in an existing account.

the ability to edit account settings
Currently, no "Account Edit" facility is available. For example, if you want to change any element of the server settings, you have to delete the account !! and then re-create the account with the changes you want to make. This is time consuming and can be frustrating when you want to make a quick edit.....
I hope you consider adding this feature.
