Make it so we can set up an IMAP account and change/modify the settings as needed - I can receive mail but CANNOT SEND.

There are numerous problems with the server configuration dialogs
1. settings of existing mails account cannot be changed. Only workable solution is to remove account and reset.
2. that leads to the second big issue: setting up an e-mail-account is a major hassle if the account is not provided by one of few biggies.
3. every now and then (6-8 weeks) Outlook shows the lame excuse that the password needs to be reset. That does not work either, so the loop to 1 starts all over.
Plead: in the year 2020 it should be possible to send e-mails without such undue hassle.
Add the option to edit the server settings for an existing account (or make it possible to find, three engineers here can't find it, had to delete the account and set it up again).

your interface deletes all settings if it doesn't connect first time using IMAP or POP3, so there is no easy way to trouble shoot without having to continually retype all the settings

When my email provider changes my smtp settings in my IMAP email, I should be able to change these is Outlook for Android. I should not have to delete this account from my phone and start again.

Users with multiple accounts would benefit from being able to choose an image and a colour for each account in the sidebar - if you've got multiple accounts where the address is your name, using the initials for the account icon in the list is hardly useful.

You need to understand the world doesn't revolve around Outlook/Exchange and gmail. there are still many, many of us that use IMAP host emails. These type of account need to become first-class features. Full setup and edit is required.

In the process of removing an account, on Android, going into the menu, the settings cog button is under the overlay asking "Please sign in to firstname.lastname@example.org" so I can't get to settings to remove the account. if I rotate phone I can see it briefly before it's overplayed again. I need to get to the settings cog icon.

Currently there is no way to change email account settings, to say, use a different incoming or outgoing server. Only option is to delete account then add it again. We should have the ability to make those changes without deleting the account.
I no longer have access to an email account. The notification of login credentials is covering the settings button and is inaccessible.

Recent email account added, added. Unable to check server settings. Unable to edit. Only reset. Reset won't fix troubleshooting. Manual check will. I've been using hotmail services since 99'. Now I'm an IT and require check tools so my clients can have full support.
