View and edit shared calendars.
Hi Outlook users,
We’re excited to announce that the Outlook on Android application now supports shared calendars for Office365 and Outlook.com users!
If you already have a shared calendar, you’ll need to upgrade it so that it syncs to your mobile phone. It’s simple to do though: just ask the calendar owner to re-share the calendar to you, and then click the Accept button in the Outlook app. After accepting, you’ll be able to see the shared calendar on your mobile phone!
This feature is only available if both the calendar owner & the sharing recipient are hosted in Office365 or Outlook.com. And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to the in-app support team by going to Settings > Help & Feedback> Contact Support and we’d be happy to help!

you should be able to see other people's schedule, other than just for accounts you have control over
have the ability to open shared mailboxes or calendars in outlook mobile app like its desktop version

Calendar functionality to view other employees calendar within the company missing.
As I see it this is far from being solved. The same Problem with other mobile platforms, as far as I could see. MS hasn't manage to provide this basic functunality for years now. What kind of business support is this, you really let down your Business customers! I can enter entries on my office Home Family calender and edit them, but it is obvieously not possible to do the same with a shared Exchange Mailbox/Calendar!

currently I can only view shared work calendars created by my organization on the desktop version of outlook. this is very frustrating and not useful because my organization uses tablets and these calendars are not viewable on mobile/tablet versions of the app

I see my comment was "merged with a similiar idea" to this thread, however, this does not help me. None of the shared calendars I need access to on my mobile app are outlook calendars. They are google calendars administered by companies/school ISD/etc., and it is vital that I see those things in my daily calendar/schedule. I had assumed that shared calendars linked to my live.com account.
Without this functionality, I'll have to move from Outlook to Google Calendar for planning my time. :(

All of my "other calendars" from my desktop Outlook are missing in the app, like my son's school schedule (a linked public shared calendar not published by me) and my daughter's Google calendar for work schedule/apts. I have them linked and on overlay on my desktop to appear within my personal calendar. I need these events to show up on my phone or this app is pointless.
This is only for Office365 and Outlook.com - what about native Exchange shared calendars?
The app should let me view calendars of my team members as the software does.

I already have permission to quite a few calendars within my company however I cannot see the calendars on my phone. I have been told that I can have the other person re-share their calendar with me and to accept it on the phone rather than in Outlook on my computer to be able to see it from my phone.

We have calendars for resources (Cars, Rooms, etc.). How can we find these in Outlook for Android?

My wife and I share our personal Google Calendars with each other.
In Outlook only my own personal Calendar is shown in the Calendar.
My wife only can see her personal calendar.
In any other Android Calender app both my own personal google calendar is shown AND the shared Google calendar from my wife.
I hope to see both the personal AND shared Google calendar in the Outlook Android app in the near future. Until then I am forced to use another calendar app next to Outlook.
How about Outlook 2016?

Our institute (UCL Cancer Institute) use the outlook shared calenders for equipment booking and need to be able to add these calenders on android and iOS. I believe is a very necessary feature for all business users.

It is not possible to create a work calendar for example in the app, or in web view. There must be the option to create new calendar categories easy and share the calendar with other members.
