Improve Contact Management
Add the ability to add / edit / delete contacts. Also be able to add a contact right from an email.
We highly appreciate your feedback you’ve given us about this feature. Good news: We’re close to releasing it on Android. You can get a sneak preview here: https://blogs.office.com/2017/06/05/improving-people-in-outlook-for-ios-and-android/
Thanks for your patience as we make the final touches!
All the best
The Outlook Mobile Team
PS: Please use the Help Section of the app for any questions, we are not able to see replies to this address.
Outlook for Android refuses to use updated contact info for contact stored in Outlook.com. Looking at Outlook.com in a browser, the contact info did sync. The only way to send an email using the contact's new address is to copy-paste or type the address. From this behavior, doubt any name change would be reflected either. Frustrating!

you should add an option to fully manage the contacts from you outlook app. Including the birthday management, address, website, ...

Every morning the app should notify me that a certain contact "was last contacted 23 days ago. Would you like to send them a message?"

Ensure that you can also save the view that matches Outlook on other platforms. For example, when you save a contact that syncs with the current Samsung Contacts app it puts the firstname and lastname in the same field within the contact card in other versions of Outlook and doesn't recognise that it's a firstname and lastname like it would when you do it in Outlook for desktop.

Edit contacts within the Outlook app rather than the system app
Would like to see a list of all my email [sent and received] contacts in a column under "Sent", "Draft" or anywhere that is easily accessible.

Tried searching for a contact to update but it would only find the same contact from my wife's linked account which I can't edit. Very frustrating when a simple thing like changing a contacts phone number becomes such a challenge.

I want to be able to delete/edit a contact

Please make contacts available in full, including the notes. right now I mostly can see only the phone number. it is synchronizing since months! I have in in contact with the support ans have reinstalled the app several times. Once, in between, the information was there, then disappeared again. this can be devastating, especially when travelling. it can't be that I have to write my contacts again on paper...The problem has nothing to do with the online version! outlook online and on the desktop work perfectly!

Adding an option to sync phone contacts and their birthdays with the outlook app and calendar
moving to 365 means contacts duplicated. no way to clean them up.
Thomas Kelley commented
Unfortunately, it seems like the contacts were an afterthought, and are hidden behind the search. For example, there is no alpha tabs for moving between contacts. It almost seems like mobile expects you to use your device's contacts, but I prefer to use my Office 365 list as the main "go to". Please take a queue from Outlook desktop and give more attention to this area.

add/ delete change contacts
as of now, I only see contacts with an email address. I want my whole contacts folder with the groupings. the current set up is clunky and you have to scroll through all of them. the native Samsung app was great for contacts, but now wont sync. outlook syncs, but doesn't work well for anything other than email (phone calls, addresses, notes are all important info)

If I only have one contact with the name, 'Mom', then I expect when I search contacts for 'Mom', that contact should be at the top of the list. As opposed to every random contact where I have a note about someone else's Mom, being shown, and having to scroll through dozens of contacts that I didn't even ask for. Name search should take priority over note search AND be displayed first when a search is made.

Make it EASY
It would be very convinient and efficient for us to manage our contacts directly within the Outlook Android App with full sync capabilities to our other devices. In the point of now we always have to switch to the Outlook webapp.
