I'd prefer to have a choice over what icon shortcut is shown. Instead of archive - which I never use, either - I'd prefer move to folder, which I use all the time. But other people may prefer another option. Having control over this would be ideal.

I never archive. Only delete or move emails to a folder. I don't like it that on top of all emails there is a delete and archive button that look so similar. I would like to be able to not show the archive button. Seems simple to make this a config setting in options.

When you receive a push notification about a new email, the option should not be 'archive', it should be delete

When I receive notifications of an email on Android and I pull down from the top, I can read what the email is about, but am not given the option to delete right then and there. I am only given buttons to archive or to view.

I've missed countless important, time-sensitive emails because of this nonsense. Having an option on the lock screen notification that causes this kind of harm is just terrible design. It baffles me that things like this get implemented in the first place.

Defining "delete" instead of archiving as default choice would be enough. Maybe some users are using the archive.

Remove the archive folder. There is no use for it.

the option to archive is used much less than other options yet it is the most prominent, or only, option in almost all contexts. in notifications the option should be "delete" not archive, the whole point of buttons in notifications is a quick way to do the most common tasks. also when you long press an email the options at the top are delete and archive, here it should be delete and mark read. I have never used archive and feel I'm in the majority. at least make it customisable. Gmail does it correctly. thanks!
