Allow customized buttons in notifications such as Delete, Mark as Read, etc
Several other email apps have the ability to delete a message from the notification screen without having to go into the app. I know you can archive but having a delete function (or a choice of which function you want) would be awesome.

Add Delete button (similar to Archive) to email item shown on pulldown notification so that I can quickly delete unnecessary email items without having to open Outlook app just to delete it.

Currently the notification on new mail only allows me to do three things (reply, archive and delete I guess). I'd like to mark mails as read because some are so short or uninteresting that I wouldn't want to open the app just to wait some time until the mail loads. Also, this is a feature in the Windows version, too! The ultimate solution to me (if Android allows such things) is to let us customize our own quick actions on mails.

Working on it over over a year... any update? O_o
It would be really nice to have Mark as Read in the drop-down notification menu instead of having to open the email app every time.

Right now it's only archive, delete, reply. I want to be able to customize it because I never use archive and would rather that be a "move to" folder so I can stay organized. please allow us to customize the quick actions on email notifications

You should change archive to mark as read in the e-mail notification or at least give it as an option to configure in app settings. It is not God usability to open the app to mark them as read.

Mark an email as read from the notification panel instead of opening the app and then mark the email as read.

We should have an option to mark as read from the android notification. Currently there are option to delete, archive. By having mark as read from the notification, allows to have better usability as you do not have to open the app to do so.

The gmail app does not have this function, either. I switched from gmail hoping Outlook had a "mark as read" button in the notifications.

Make these options customisable so that people can choose what they want to do. For instance, I want to change Archive option to Mark as read/unread so that I get choose either Mark as read/unread or Delete or Reply options on email in the lockscreen.

I don't want to archive a message but I might want to mark it is read from reading the notification.

In the SMS-App and other messengers it is possible to perform the action "mark as read" by clicking the corresponding button within the notification.
This feature would make the app more consistent with others and also faster to use. -

Allow us to select what options appear on the Outlook notification, most other email apps allow this.
If I can read the whole email or even know what it's about then I was to be able to mark it as read in the notification instead of having to go into the app.
