Allow customized buttons in notifications such as Delete, Mark as Read, etc
Several other email apps have the ability to delete a message from the notification screen without having to go into the app. I know you can archive but having a delete function (or a choice of which function you want) would be awesome.

try to check the link for customized button like Mark as read: https://ausdroid.net/2020/08/30/microsoft-starts-adding-quick-action-customisation-for-notifications-on-their-android-apps-all-apps-should-do-this/

As new emails arrive they are added to my device's notification panel on my Android device.
However if those emails are deleted the notifications for those deleted emails still show. -

Enable mark as read from the notification window, not completed as per the other ideas suggest!

Allow for deleting new emails from the Push Notifications menu, along side the quick reply and archive buttons, so we can delete new emails without having to open the outlook app.

For mobile phones I would like the option to delete incoming mail from the notifications bar of my phone so I don't have to open the app

The "read" option would be great. The native mail app for android has it. I don't want to mark a message as archived. I want to mark it as read.

when you get a notification for a new email there's an option, delete, it doesn't work. even though I tap on it my emails are left on the in-box.

could you add flag option as well to mark an email, when you expand the notification. Sometimes we see emails which we know have to respond, but can't do right away. Just by seeing that email on notification panel, we can flag it to make sure to respond later. This avoids opening the email and then flagging it.

I don't know why this post hasn't been updated officially, but it appears the app has been updated to allow custom notification actions - https://ausdroid.net/2020/08/30/microsoft-starts-adding-quick-action-customisation-for-notifications-on-their-android-apps-all-apps-should-do-this/
Just tested this on app v4.2037.4 / Android 11 and it's working for me.
Doesn't have unlimited customisation options like some have asked for, but at least includes Mark as Read, which is the main one I wanted, plus a few other options.

the notification bar option for marking a new email as read should have been implemented years ago. can't believe I still have to open the app to mark emails as read

when i open notifications i just have the options to archive the email or mark the email as read. I want to have the option to delete the email in the notification itself without having to open the app

Swipe to read and archive is great, but would love this option directly from the Android notification. ("Archive" in Android notification does not mark as read.)

There should be an option to delete/achieve mail from notifications!

Please add Mark as read button on notifications instead of archive. Or give us option to choose between archive or read button. Popular apps like myMail, Yahoo and Yandex already have them.
