Allow customized buttons in notifications such as Delete, Mark as Read, etc
Several other email apps have the ability to delete a message from the notification screen without having to go into the app. I know you can archive but having a delete function (or a choice of which function you want) would be awesome.

Please add the option to change the notification bar buttons, I use mark as read, move and delete.

Currently, when I swipe down on the notification bar of my phone to view an email (without opening the email) I have the option to archive, delete, or reply. I think a good feature would be to mark the email as read (because I obviously just read it) instead of having to open the email or go to the Outlook app, select the email, and then click "mark as read." Essentially the options should be customizable.

I'd like to be able to make the top two buttons delete and mark as unread because I personally never archive mail and do not see the use of that button.

it would be nice to add more than one notification in your choice either by email or by screen pop same style like Google calendar with a lot of a options here

When my phone is locked and I get an email which I do not want to open but just to mark as read or to flag without having to unlock my phone. I should be able to change the email options from archive, delete, flag to any option of my choice (mark as read, flag, delete)

the mails received in notification tray, has three options to take action archive, delete and reply, rather it should be customisable, options like Delete Mark Read, Reply All
Wow surely Microsoft must see the benefit of the mark as read feature in the notification Panel. C'mon guys get it together.

When you get an email that you can read from the notification panel, it would be beneficial to have a "mark read" option on the notification panel to not open the app.

Please remove Archive from notifications, and replace with Mark as Read (or just make it personalisable)

Change notification action for new email from Archive to Mark as read. It is possible to change swipe action so it would be nice if this would be possible also for notification actions.
Currently when there is a new email notification, I can expand the notification to see several options such as archive, delete, etc. I would like to be able to change one of the options to "mark as read".
Please do not mark this as "completed" unless the feature is actually added to the app. That defeats the purpose of Uservoice.

Is this going to be like the fix for having to reboot after network changes in Win95-98? Fixed in ME (not really)!
Really people! it has been almost a year since you said you were working on it...
Quick replies in Android notifications should be customizable to setup whatever commands we need such as mark as read. this is the most annoying feature of outlook and really needs to be updated.

This needs to speed up. There is no way that this feature is being worked on for 5 years...

Please make this happen. Wish if there was the ability to customize these actions. Why do I need to open the app every time I need to mark it as read? Doing it from the notifications directly is more convenient.
Yes please implement this. At least mark as read and delete options.

Change the quick action buttons that are displayed on an email notification on the status bar on a new email that is sent though. At the moment it gives you an option to archive, delete or reply to an email but it would be good if you can change that to for e.g. mark as read and so forth.

I gave 3 votes as my contribution. Kindly all do the same. Let's target for 1 Lac vote and let them force to make it!

Same here with miui, but also had this issue on Xperia!
For instance, I don't use the archive button at all, yet it is one of the two buttons that appear when I select an email in my inbox. Would be great to be able to change that to other options/actions instead
