It's a bug you've been saying for a long time you would fix.

Instead of continuing to blink in the "To" section when starting a new email, the cursor jumps to the body of the email.

When I create a new email I almost always want to enter the addressee but the app defaults to the body of the text. Is there a specific reason why it doesn't default to the address field as that seems more sensible to me?

In Oct of 2019 this idea was posted and then marked complete, but since then, multiple people have responded saying they are having the same problem...all within the past month or so. Please look in to this.

This is not COMPLETED. Could somebody please listen to us and fix this problem. New message should place cursor in To field, NOT the body of the message. This is so frustrating.

Me too. Just started this past week. Cursor no longer defaults to the "To" address line. Frustrating, especially compared to gmail.

Agreed, this just started happening to me this past week. Absolutely frustrating. Needs to be fixed asap. Would be nice to see some sort of acknowledgement from MS on this issue to know if they are working on it and an eta.
