Don't hide the REAL email address of the sender. Outlook only shows a coloured circle with a letter, dangerous spams are hidden this way.
Dangerous spams use a false but trusted looking address as name. The real address that actually shows its a spam is hidden behind a useless coloured circle in outlook.

I won't open an email if I dont know the sender or can't see the senders address (too many spammers and phishing scams). That means I can't open half the emails I get with my phone - I have to wait until I'm on my PC. That effectively makes Outlook useless on my phone!

fully agree with geza sereny . outlook should immediately remove this circle and allow full view of sender email address. recently due to this circle i missed a phishing spam for almost a month

this 8s such a dangerous and annoying issue and one that should have been dealt with ages ago. Get it together Outlook, seriously this is 2021, take a look at how well some other email providers are ramping up their security..not down....

first clue of a phishing email is the return address. Too **** hard to see it in Outlook. Stop hiding it!!!

Ive noticed that people have been complaining about this for over a year. I don't think Hotmail actually read any of these customer issues.

This is such an easy fix for Hotmail. Scam emails rely on Hotmail to hide their email address by default. If customers could automatically see the full email address they would instantly know it was suspicious.

Create better ways to respond to Phishing attempts from the app. This app hides the sending address, making it difficult to spot what's from a fraudster. We need a way to protect ourselves. This app puts people's data at risk in a negligible way.

put in an option to display actual email address of sender with domain name for all emails if user wants to see this info. it is then extremely obvious when the email is a scam or phishing scheme.

finding out if a mail is spam is very, very difficult if not impossible in this outlook app. you can't see very well wich emailaccount of mine is used, what the reply mailaddress is, where links go to and more.
More info from mail is very welcome. Look at the source!

show name and full email of sender in inbox preview.

Many pishing emails show a false name rather than the actual email, so to reveal the actual email one must touch on the name to show it. Many people may ignore it and may trust in the false email, giving their login details.
I think security shouldn't be displaced by aesthetics.

bring in new mail as it is sent. some have time sensitive codes that expire before I receive the email.
