allow deletion of autofill contacts. it is dangerous to have no way of deleting old email contacts in the autofill feature.
i need to be able to delete incorrect old email addresses from the autofill list. i have sent confidential stuff to a person's old company.

This bug has been reported two years ago. It is a shame that Microsoft apparently can't solve this.
Resetting account and all does not matter. One simply has to be very, very careful at entering the correct email address. You won't get rid of wrongly typed addresses.
Actually, MY old email address, with my previous provider, used until 2013, is still there.
BTW I also tried Android > Settings > Select App settings > select the Outlook App > Storage and Clear the Cache, makes no difference.

When I send an e-mail via Outlook on my Android smart phone, as soon as I start to type in an e-mail address several choices of address appear. One of them is wrong and I want to remove it from the automatically recorded list.
As I wanted to delete an incorrect e-mail address that appears when I start to write an e-mail address in Outlook on my Android smart phone, I contacted your Support Service. I was advised that currently there is no edit or delete facility and your Support Adviser suggested that I should request this facility is provided.
I hope you will look at this problem and fix it.
Thank you.

at the moment every time outlook sees a new address it remembers it even if we type an address wrongly. This means autofills ends up putting in mistyped or defunct addesses which is annoying as we then have to manually correct them or sometimes we don't notice the wrong autofills and the message ends up going to the wrong address. we need to be able to delete permanently any addresses we know are incorrect. Thank you.

Open the Outlook app; click Menu bars, Settings gear; under ACCOUNTS, click the name of the Outlook account; click Reset Account; once the account has reset, click X to close; tap the New Message icon; in the New Message; screen, type in the To box and the undesired email address and name should be gone.

It still appears as I type the address I'm keying, and occasionally if I'm not attentive I send the message to the wrong address. It's OK on PC version, it can be removed

It's currently either impossible or really really difficult to remove the auto suggestions based on who outlook thinks I want to email. I typed it in wrong ages ago and haven't been able to remove the suggestion for years! Why isn't this just an easy fix??

When creating an email, addresses auto-fill that I want to delete.

Somebody sent me a phishing email using the start of my email address. When I send myself an email note to self, this other address comes up as the first suggestion. If I were to accept it in a hurry I could unintentionally hand over personal info to a criminal. Please enable deletion of specific autofill suggestions

Why cannot Microsoft solve this simple problem that I guarantee will annoy every single Microsoft Android user like me when they encounter it. This is pathetic, and shows utter disregard by Microsoft for its customers.

Totally agree with this. It should be a high priority fix.

Thanks for contacting Outlook Mobile Support! I understand you need to remove an email address that auto-fills as you try to send an email from the app, however, this feature is currently not available.
It is by design that the app recalls the email addresses you have interacted with. This is derived from the mail server and cannot be turned off, altered, or edited in anyway. These addresses are not necessarily saved as a contact in the account and there is no way to remove or prevent seeing a certain contact in the auto-suggest.
If you have feedback or suggestion regarding this, we want to hear it from you. You can do this by going to the Outlook app's Settings -> Help & Feedback -> Suggest a feature -> Post an idea.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. If you will need Outlook Mobile Support in the future, please accept the solution and start a new conversation.
Have a good one!

This is really annoying, not being able to remove invalid email addresses from the suggested email list. In fact, this is dangerous. I should be able to delete them.

The app seems to automatically store and then suggest email addresses when writing am email. There is no way to delete these contacts which are often not stored in your contact list. they mainly come from spam emails and are a real nuisance. the app should ask if you want it to store these and provide a means to delete them and block their reoccurring. there are a lot of blog (read complaints) on the net about this so it is WELL overdue that you fix it.

Privacy and security are vital when email addresses of recipients of mass spam are displayed as autofill choices. These are strangers. Only email addresses I have sent emails to should be autofill choices.

Just because a mass spam email was sent to me, I don't want the other victims' email addresses to appear as auto fill choices. Violates privacy and security.

is this still an issue or is there a way to delete?

old email addresses or ones with spelling mistakes can't be deleted and appear in the auto complete function. this is for the android mobile version of the app. Please make it possible to permanently delete those suggested email addresses as its really inconvenient that they cannot be stopped from coming up.
