add option to not mark as read when opening email.
many times I read an email on mobile, but want to follow up later on desktop. Currently it automatically marks as read so I forget to follow up

To mark mail as not readed I need to open submenu. Simplify this option by adding mark as not readoption to quick menu where is e.g. delete, archiving, mark as readed etc. It is useless for me and mark as not readed is missing there.

when you open an email from the app it is automatically settled as read, I would like to set it manually or automatically if I choose to reply to it.

This setting is available in destop Outlook, in web Outlook, it absolutely needs to be available in android app as well. Every serious email app has this.
Currently every email is automatically marked as read as soon as it's highlighted and shown for one millisecond. It's super easy to miss emails this way.

I was using Nine until forced to switch to outlook due to AWP, I will not use outlook until this feature is added.

Yes, I need this option too. I use to do it with my old WPhone. Thanks

I really want this, the lack of this feature is why I do not use the app

I prefer to keep items as unread by default when browsing on my phone, and change to read as needed when on my pc. This option is on the web version, desktop version, and used to be in the old Windows phone version too.

setting option to not mark msg read automatically
If you're going to poll for new emails instead of doing proper push notifications, you could at least do all of the syncing first, and only then trigger notifications if there are unread emails. I will get notifications sounds and look to see the notification appear and then clear itself. I will also get notifications, open the app, see an email appear unread, and then change to read (because it had been already -- 30 minutes ago -- in the Outlook Web app). The app is basically useless if it's so late, but it's also pretty frustrating for it beep for no reason.

Most of the users use Mobile outlook to check if they have received some important email and reply if it can't wait until they login to office desktop/laptop next day. It's better to have a option to skip marking as read for the emails read thru mobile App. So that we don't miss replying any emails when we login back on desktop outlook.
