It's been over a year since you killed this feature Microsoft, yet your own documentation STILL references this as supported, even the App itself shows screens informing you can set up a Gmail alias!

I use an alias in all emails with my Gmail account, and I don't want anyone to see my Gmail account.

I brought a domain from godaddy as this was integrated with outlook. I was disappointed I can only add one email alias.
increase email alias for private domain or allow wildcard *@privatedomain.com.In terms of features GoDaddy is terrible compared to other domain providers that give features for free. please allow support for other domain providers.

I love using alias! Got 5 email addresses I use for different purposes or group of people (one is personal, another for my side-hustle, one for formality, one for bank/ewallet transactions, and one for bills and online shopping) and it allows me to (sso) login to 5 email addresses at once. It's an awesome feature and very convenient if you know how to use it. Now before I discovered aliases, I already have created email for my forums & social media accounts 10 years ago and I wish to merge it together with these new aliases. I don't understand why merging existing alias is not allowed when it's a win-win (me for convenience; microsoft for cost-efficiency since merging will mean only one MS account and 1 onedrive storage). Please let this option be available. Thank you!

Microsoft, why did you remove this feature? Why does the option and the documentation detail how to use a Gmail alias, yet your staff say it's a 'feature request'? This always used to work!

Microsoft have quietly dropped support for Gmail aliases, but didn't bother removing the feature from the app, updating the documentation, or training their support staff. Why? Please bring it back Microsoft!

It is possible!
The issue appears to happen if you are using multiple email accounts in the Outlook app. (Combined view "All Accounts" is visible)
Do NOT try to create a new email from "All Accounts" because then choosing your desired alias is only working successfully for your default account.
(Setting the default account: Settings -> Email -> Default)
In order to send from alias addresses of other accounts besides your default account, choose your account directly from the list before creating a new email. (Open the list by tapping on the top left corner)

I'm having the same issue, although on my iPad Outlook picture my default alias on my Outlook.com account which is a Gmail.com address, however on Outlook for Android is does not default. I need to manually add the alias and choose it for each new message and response.

This feature is still missing on both Android and iOS. It is not possible to use GMail aliases. Support confirmed this is not working any more and that I should post feature request.

This feature is really necessary to use this app, and outlook had it before, and now to lose it, it will force me to change mail app. And, I like outlook app...

Ohne diese Funktion kann ich Outlook auf Android leider nicht benutzen. Die Version für Wiindows 10 Mobile hat die Funktion schon seit 2016. Sie kam in der Version 17.7167.40338.0

alias for imap mail

This is a must feature, otherwise it is completely useless. I have received a news regarding new proto used to sync data, which does not support aliases at least for GMail and app does not support manually entering aliases, like other apps do.

Fertiggestellt? Dann bin ich nicht fähig, diese Funktion zu nutzen.

K9 Mail bietet diese Funktion. Der "Weltmaktführer" kann es nicht.
